I think they didn't get it at first. The problem is that even if she hadn't sent the letters, turning to the audience and saying "okay, 1, 2, 3" in this context might have worked. I think that's why he said "hang on, that's just crowdwork" and why the other two were confused about the letters. Shame she didn't use a more random prompt for the audience because it's a great bit.

What I like about Jenny's Task Master episodes is that they bring out Jenny's personality naturally, if that makes sense. I feel that I am seeing her in a personal way instead of an on-stage act.
