The whole thing was funny, but somehow the drawing at 5:59 indicating that train seats worldwide all have that same weird speckled upholstery is what got me.
@BobfromSydney Жыл бұрын
My first thought when I saw that last slide was that she nailed the chairs on the millennium trains. When it comes to the speckled pattern, I assume some genius saw a news article about the USA's digital camo uniforms twenty years ago and designed a pattern that perfectly hides all the weird stains and spots that train seats get over the years from young idiots spilling slurpees and smoothies and old idiots spilling coffees and beers. Now the train cleaners just sprinkle that absorbent sand stuff on the seat and vacuum it all up and we can sit on it none the wiser.

@@forbidden-cyrillic-handle Nope. In German it is neunzehn, exactly the same construction (you'd know this if you knew the derivations of most of English). In Khmer it is doppramboun, which is also the same, just with the "ten/teen" put as a prefix and not a suffix. Eastern Europe is not, in fact, everywhere, it's only somewhere. And if this was in a language that wasn't English, then your answer might apply.
@aaronleverton4221 Жыл бұрын
@@forbidden-cyrillic-handle Zehn holds exactly the same place and meaning. Here, try this: drei, dreizehn, drei und swanzig. Three, thirteen, twenty three. Remember what I said about derivation?
