I'm gonna take the joke away from Pope Beenedict the 2nd, as it is a uniform. The white robe is called a Cassock, the white skullcap that only the Pope (should) wear is called a Zucchetto, and the cape vestment is called a Mozzetta. Together they are the uniform of the office. There are other named clothing items as well, such as the Camauro "pointy hat", or a Cappello Romano, a wide-brimmed hat, not to forget to mention various jewelry like the Ring of The Fisherman. I kinda find fashion and garb interesting when it relates to various religions.

But for me, a uniform is a selection of specific clothing which identify the wearer as belonging to a certain group - as in, that is the function of the clothing, to identify. Police, nurse, firefighter, school student, fast food worker, soldier - all of those would qualify as uniforms, since they identify an individual as part of a group. The beekeeper wears protective clothing, the function of which is to protect. A construction worker might wear jeans, t-shirt, face mask, hard hat. Is that a uniform? A welder will wear a helmet, is that a uniform? Genuinely posing the questions, not aggressively attacking the idea!! I think there's a difference between a uniform, and a typical outfit.

I'd have given five points to Charlotte. A pope has official clothing that belongs to the job description, which is pretty much the definition of a uniform. Meanwhile, a stunt bee needs to have protection, sure... but it really isn't subject to any sort of standard. (Other than keeping them alive, but if standards didn't matter, I'm sure the pope would just do his speeches as naked as God created him...)

I think the Taskmaster might have something to say about that. 'ORIGINAL' noun - the earliest form of something, from which copies may be made.

Well Greek στολή means "uniform" and it's the origin of English "stole", an ecclesiastical vestments, so arguably the Pope's vestments are the only uniform here (and Greg definitely hasn't asked everyone in the world)

The Pope's outfit is a form of a priest's vestments, with his high station designated in the addition of things like the pope hat. The Pope's vestments are a uniform in functionally the same way a General's uniform is a uniform: a modification of a work outfit worn by a large number of people, but with unique markings indicating his rank and accomplishments.
