Rose Matafeo and Mike Wozniak in retrospect was pretty great casting having watched some episodes. Mike has such an, for lack of a better word, Gormless Awkward affect, he makes for such a great "Alex" type. Rose is a bit nicer than the average TM, but she is the Jr. TM so it makes quite a nice fit.

They are, and please, more of them, but I am not convinced that the deprecating joke works that well with Mike Wozniak. They work with Alex because .. well, look at the guy for one second; everything in his unassuming persona works in favor of that kind of humor (and hey, props to him, that must not always be fun to film). Wozniak, on the other hand, ugh. On paper, it looks like it would work as well with that stache and suit .. but the guy is just .. cool. He has such a charming and charismatic persona that this bit does not work with him as the target. This is the first series, it makes sense to stick with what has worked, but I wish they will come up with new things coming forward. I want to see the guy who scares the street toughs with his mohawk so that he can get his night milk!

Alex said when he played Taskmaster VR for the first time he was so annoyed with VR Alex that he wanted to hurt him. Maybe it’s also just the fact that someone is there but doesn’t really help, saying „all the information is in the task“ and sometimes even make silly remarks

I will say, the "twist" of the two-part tasks is way more telegraphed in Jr. Taskmaster. Like the "remember the 15 words" thing was the first thing I thought of when they read the first task. And it's VERY obvious that part 2 of the peas task is gonna be "retrieve your peas, fastest wins" and I haven't even gotten past them hiding the peas yet.

mike's rap name should be "sir mustache-you-a-question" 1) sir is a perfectly appropriate first part of a rapper name, as evidenced by sir mix-a-lot 2) mike is a gentleman, and a gentleman rapper's name should start with sir 3) mike's mustache is his most recognizable feature, and should feature in the name somehow. however... 4) mustache by itself is a terrible name, but if you make it part of a pun its brilliant 5) puns perfectly fit mike's personality 6) the whole name together sounds like a statement or question, which also fits mike's personality the only alternative that i can think of is "sir mustachio'd-daddy-o", though that feels less clever

I like the show, but I don't know how I feel about the inconsistency with the tasks/rules.. In the sticky task, they are so adamantly about the tasks words, that it "clearly says different things" With the peas task it says "Retrieve the peas... Most peas back on their tees..", yet Rose "couldn't be bothered more" Imho this inconsistency is a bad aspect in a really good show. If you want to make it they can put these peas on, then use a more open wording or stop being so strict with the wordings of other tasks alltogether

I think the Taskmaster being an inconsistent human being is a fun part of the show. Like, if it tries to be fair the show suddenly becomes a lot more serious and any bad decisions start to feel unjust. With a tyrannical taskmaster in a show that's not trying to be fair any bad decisions just feel a part of it, and often a fun part too, at least for me. In fact, I wouldn't mind if Greg took his role as Taskmaster a little less seriously again.
