It’s an ongoing issue with braid. We spend hundreds on a rod and even more on a reel, thousands on collecting lures, but people still use cheap braid. Luckily I’m slowly converting all mine to Tasline👍

Too right! It’s simply the best, expensive but worth it.

Tasline isnt the best on the market but its a great all rounder, no bullshit, no lies braid. I rekon about 80% of other braids lie about thickness and strength. Im swapping all my reels to tasline as im an aussie and I want to support a company doing the right thing.

I’ve used Sunline, YGK, Ocean Devil, Suffix, J Braid, Power Pro (and probably a few others), I personally think Tasline Elite is superior to all these by a long way

Was it brand new? When you wrapped it round your hands, did the braid wrap over itself? On the spool is a handwritten number, you can put this into their website and see that spools actual tested breaking strain. Maybe contact Busted Fishing/Tasline direct about it. Personally I trust it 100%

@@PoppersStickbaitsit was actually the excess tasline braid from a 600meter spool that was used for jigging, so i could say that it was brand new..i was snakehead fishing during that day. I used by baitcasting set up spooled with 20lb tasline. That braid was just a month old. The snakehead struck my topwater lure, i set the hook and boom..line snapped..checked all things on my set up first then found nothing wrong..tried testing the line by snapping it with my both hands(i wore rubber palmed gloves during that time) for several times and yes it always snaps. Not on my hands but right exactly in the middle of both hands...i peeled off more lines from the spool to check if same thing would happen and yes it did..so i went home, looked for the remaining 30-40meters of tasline while it is on it's spool and did the same thing to it..hoping that it snapped because the line spooled in my casting reel almost a month old and the new line will not snap..but it was not was i was expecting...brand new 20lb tasline snapped using both of my hands right in the middle of both hands and not on my palms..
