I locali si chiedono perchè due ciclisti facciano l'autostop verso i monti. Gli sembriamo ancora più pazzi quando raccontiamo che veniamo dalla lontanissima Italia. Il vento soffia forte e preannuncia il brutto tempo: dobbiamo fermarci per la notte nella prateria, veramente in mezzo al nulla. Dormire in tenda nel bush significherebbe non chiudere occhio per le raffiche di vento. Il sinistro albergo di Shining ci può offrire fortunatamente solo un riparo nel box di un garage, nel quale montiamo la tenda arrangiandoci alla bell'e meglio. Alla fine poi ci dormiremo benissimo, riparati e grati di aver trovato quel rifugio. E anche Lucida, nel quarto brano tratto dalla mia novella, si abbandona al vuoto senza paura e ritroverà la sua mattina.
Locals wonder why two cyclists are hitchhiking towards the mountains. They think we are even crazier when we tell them that we come from far away Italy. The wind is blowing strongly and is carrying bad weather: we must stop for the night on the prairie, really in the middle of nowhere. Sleeping in a tent in the bush would mean not sleeping a wink because of the wind gusts. Luckily, the sinister hotel from the Shining movie can only offer us shelter in a garage box, in which we put up the the tent as best we can. In the end we will sleep well, protected and grateful for having found that refuge. And even Lucida, in the fourth passage taken from my short story, gives herself up to the void without fear. Then she will wake up again in a new morning.

Hi Nicholas, we're very happy to you hear from you from You. Our trip to China will finish tomorrow: we're taking our flight back to Milan tomorrow afternoon. We enjoyed our bike trip a lot. China is a wonderful country and we experienced so much in Guilin, Sanjiang, Rongshui, Lipu, Luzou, Chendgu, Leshan, Hong Kong and Beijin! Just one trip isn't enough to see all those lovely places and we plan another trip to China
