I think the cutting them out and grouting (with the tape for shine) gives a really realistic look. I will try Diamond glaze on mine (I find an excuse to put it everywhere because it gives such an authentic "glassy" finish), I am sure it will look amazing when I stick my tiles (I have these nail art 3d decals that look exactly like Mediterranean tiles) on some card and cut them out. Thank you for the tips, they will all come in handy, I need to look at your shop because the tiles are really beautiful. ❤

Dear Anne, that's what I was thinking of using too. I love Judikins Diamond Glaze and I think it would be perfect for painting over these miniature tiles to give them a very realistic thicker look. Have you tried using it yet? I'd love to know how it worked. Cheers from Amanda Jones in Melbourne, Australia

The tape idea for the small tiles in the kitchen is quite clever and time saving!!! 😊

I was debating tiling and then your video dropped 👀 really appreciate the work you put into this, thank you!

These look great! You could add further detail by scoring ‘grout’ to the flat tape covered tile sheet to indent them. Your house is so cute! ❤

Yes I did that to my own tiles for the dollhouse later in the video

We used UV resin. One little dot in the centre of the tile and as soon as it starts spreading, use the UV light. This way you get a dome shape to each tile. It's more complicated than your way, and you need the resin and the UV light first, but your ways are so much easier!

Good idea you could probably use clear uv gel polish too

I suggest not using real grout. It's too harsh on the tape and paper after a while. I suggest using artist grade gel medim sand medium is better and created to work on artists canvas/clothe and papers. It is clean up with water (quickly before it sets). You can also add paint in your preferred colours to customize the look of the "grout".

I love your ideas and tutorial but your video is very jittery in certain parts…particularly the section where you show the print outs of the tiles.…I don’t know if it’s happening when you edit, but it’s uncomfortable to watch sorry. But thank you for your great ideas and inspiration.x

@@TasminBassettArt thank you for taking it well Tasmin…I wasn’t sure about saying anything but I know myself I would want to know if I were building a channel and wanting my video skills to improve…it might turn people away and if you can correct it that’s in your favour and I really wish you success as everything else about your video is fab! Xxx

I'm a new subscriber... and new to miniatures... I loved this video. In fact I've enjoyed the several I have already watched. Your voice is easy to listen to and your content is well explained. I do however agree that there are some bits hard to watch because of the shake.. I'm not an expert on making KZbin videos however I have learnt there is a stabilisation option somewhere on your phone camera if your making videos with your phone. I can't remember where I found it on mine but it improved my videos.

Das Video ist zu lang, zu langweilig und zuviel Gerede. Nach 4 minuten hab ich es weggeklickt.
