During my time in the German Army, we called the sweet biscuits "Panzerplatten" - armour plates - because they were hard as steel. Our comrades in the former GDR / east germany called them "Atomkekse" - nuclear cookies - because they could supposedly survice a nuclear blast lol

The Pashtet as you call it is meant to be spread on the salty biscuits as Germans like to eat cold but tasty food (mostly variations of sausages/baloni) for dinner. The orange Pashtet is tuna with tomato sauce by the way.

These are new variants that we got to test in afghanistan and mali. Must say if youre with your group and you mix together the different MRE types you have, it makes for a really hefty feast. Also i should add this is supposed to last for breakfast and dinner.
