Today we're tasting the world's best chicken ramen in the one and only Tokyo, Japan! We've only been here a day and this country is living up to all expectations, we are LOVING it here! After stepping outside our first morning we immediately realized we are NOT prepared for Tokyo's winter months, so when we stumbled upon the local Lululemon, we had to check it out! Daniel found the perfect vest to keep those vital organs warm, so he went with that! Naturally, we wanted ramen as soon as possible, so we headed right over to Kagari in Ginza to try what we heard is one of the world's best chicken ramen...and it was! Wow, we were blown away! This most certainly won't be our last bowl of ramen while in Japan. Afterwards we took the metro up to Sensō-ji temple and took in the beautiful culture of Japan. Thousands of people were out with umbrellas walking the shops and enjoying the afternoon. We of course had to stop to try some of the delicious foods from the vendors! We stopped by Tokyo Tower and Shibuya Crossing on our way to try our first ever Wagyu beef at Han-no-Daidokoro Bettei...PHENOMENAL! Needless to say...we're loving Japan.

My grandson is in the Navy he has been stationed in Japan on a submarine for the past three years. He loves it there, he sends pictures once in a while. The food looks delicious. Everyone loves ramen, LOL I have never seen it with the toppings though. Good size bowl, yum

The best ramen I ever had was on Kauai. I can only imagine how great it is in Tokyo. I was born at Tachikawa Air Base in Tokyo (military brat) in the 60s. Hopefully I can go back and visit soon.

It would be really amazing for you two to create a video on your process of booking where you stay, the flights and destination ideas that you plan before going on to a different country!! Also the best ways to use public transit in said countries. :) hope you two are having an amazing time so far on your travels.

Hi Dan and Chelle! I love watching your travel vlogs, especially these ones in Asia! Just FYI, when you're not using chopsticks, lay them down flat. When you stick them up, it's actually offensive in many Asian cultures, as it signifies death/mourning. I know you don't want to offend anybody!

That ramen and the wygu (sp?) looked awesome! I watch an Asian foodie who has turned me on to a lot of different foods, but they are kind of hard to find in a small far northern California town. Feeling a bit envious of you guys right now. Just keep on bringing the different cultures our way. Thank you so much!!!

Few restaurant recommendations: Soup Stock Tokyo Mos burger Sukiya / Matsuya / Yoshinoya (delicious beef bowls w rice) Kani Doraku for the best crab sushi you’ll ever have Coco Ichibanya or Gogo Curry for Japanese curry rice Street takoyaki And a crepe from any of the numerous street kiosks Japanese produce is on a whole other level. Be sure to check out the food halls in the basements of major department stores. Pick up any regular fruit (I recommend strawberries or grapes/muscat) and it will be the best you’ve ever had.

I have missed Japan. I went on 31st December 2019 for the lucky bags you can only get in New Year's and to go to sanrio puroland as I'm a hello kitty collector and fan. I got lost finding my way from the airport and got helped by a sweet 16 year old young man and he got a map and told me where to get off and back on again to get to shinjuku. And twice young ladies help me find my hotel. My favourite meal was tampra prawns with rice and their crepes. I lost weight while I was there for a week. I have to save very hard to go back with my husband this time, I went all on my own, but I love it. Enjoy, there is so much you see. I only saw three places, as I kept getting lost but I loved it. 💙💖🎎🎊🗼XXXXX

Oh wow Japan, how amazing! I hope you've had a fantastic time there, can't wait to see what else you get up to. You are getting dangerously close to my number 1 bucket list country, South Korea 👀 (partially for my love of kpop and Kdramas - hence the profile pic, but also the food and culture, I'd absolutely love to visit there). Anyway even if SK isn't next on your list I can't wait to see where else you make it to next 😍

I am Japanese. Knowing the history makes the trip even more profound and enjoyable. Was Tokyo Tower beautiful? Actually, Tokyo Tower was made by melting down tanks used in World War II, and it is a pledge to never start a war again and a wish for world peace. The Shibuya crossing is crossed by 400,000 people a day!
