Good afternoon in Thailand time. Wow, the inside of the restaurant has a nice atmosphere that is comfortably decorated with classic paintings. For this meal, I especially liked the fish menu followed by the soup. I think it must be delicious food. Thank you for the lovely clip you have presented. I have loved you both! The art of a bluish and whitish Israeli food! My first teacher was a Jewish woman from Hungary, Coio is her surname. I remembered she talking about her national foods! We make a savoury version too, almost like mac and cheese... except it has eggs and the crispy bits are sooo good especially if you make it with fine vermicelli noodles. I like the savoury version best cold and the sweet version best hot. Can you eat yerushalmi kugel in one of your videos? I'm trying to lose weight, so someone who's not me has to eat some because otherwise I will have to make a whole one haha. I love the combination of sweet caramel, black pepper and pickles together. I don't care if it's weird: it's delicious. I hate gefilte fish. I hate cholent too. It was torture as a child so I haven't eaten either for years. Watching you two actually enjoy the gefilte fish made me kind of want to try it again... maybe.....hmmm ...not sure. Wonderful videos. Keep them coming.

מה השטויות ש"שאין אוכל ישראלי חוץ מבמבה" בוא נתחיל מהאוכל שהכי לא חשבת שהוא ישראלי: "ויאמר לה בעז לעת האכל גשי הלם ואכלת מן־הלחם וטבלת פתך בחמץ ותשב מצד הקצרים ויצבט־לה קלי ותאכל ותשבע ותתר" חמץ=חמצא=חומוס. כן. חומוס זה אוכל ישראלי הרבה יותר מערבי. פיתה לא ישראלי מספיק? עד תחילת המאה ה20 פיתות לא היו נפתחות ולא היו עגולות. עד שבא לירושלים מהנדס מכונות יהודי מגרמניה והמציא את מכונת הפיתות שבגלל החום שלה הפיתות יצאו כמו שאנחנו מכירים אותם היום. ולכן כל פיתה ששמים בתוכה דברים, זה אוכל ישראלי. פתיתים עם סלט לא מספיק ישראלי? סביח לא מספיק ישראלי? מי שטוען שהסביח הגיע מעירק צודק אבל חלקית. יהודי עירק נהגו בשבת בבוקר לאכול ארוחה קלה של ביצים פטרוזיליה חציל ועמבה. אבל למכור את זה בתוך פיתה כאוכל רחוב הופך את זה מיהודי לישראלי ואולי כאן המקום להסביר מה ההבדל בין אוכל יהודי לאוכל ישראלי. אוכל ישראלי אין לו סיבה דתית. למשל הסביח לפני שקראו לו סביח, הוא היה סעודת שבת בבוקר. זה אוכל יהודי. אחרי שאתה מוכר את זה כאוכל רחוב אין לזה שום סיבה דתית ולכן זה ישראלי. כנ"ל שניצל בלחמניה קלועה. הלחמניה הקלועה הומצאה כפיתרון לבתי מלון שרצו לתת חלות לאורחים בשבת במקום לחמניה עם שומשום או לחם פרוס. אבל ברגע שהוצאת את הלחמניה הקלועה מההקשר הדתי שלה ומכרת אותה עם שניצל ומטבוחה, היא כבר לא אוכל יהודי. זה כבר מטבח ישראלי.
