The Mysterious Murasame Castle, also known as its original Japanese release title Nazo no Murasamejou, is a Famicom Disk System game developed by Nintendo EAD and published in 1986, only two months after The Legend of Zelda which it bears some similarities to. The story takes place in Edo period Japan. The titular Murasame Castle is taken over by a mysterious alien creature, who extends its power to four other neighboring castles. The daimyō lords of each castle are each given an evil sphere of power, and they use this power to summon armies of ninja and monsters to terrorize the nearby villages. Shōgun Tokugawa Ietsuna sends out samurai apprentice Takamaru to investigate the castles, defeat each castle lord along the way, and stop the aliens.
J.Y ( tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/J.Y ) and BakaLuLu ( tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/B... ) defeats said alien creature and restores peace to the region in record time, saving 00:05.31 seconds from the previous movie ( tasvideos.org/3962M ) in the process!

Not sure in this game's case since it has what sounds like original music, but sometimes you hear public domain music (like Ode to Joy) because it's free to use and doesn't require anyone to compose something new.

It just caught me off-guard after hearing the original soundtrack pieces that have Japanese tones, and really fit in with the game's themes, to suddenly hear a snippet of Beethoven.

The game came out only a couple months after LoZ. Makes sense that they'd reuse assets, especially seeing that they were still new to the video game market. This was the time of radio personalities making cameos in Mario games, as well as official contests to give the Mario theme lyrics. The 80s were different, man.
