Blaster Master: Enemy Below looks, sounds, and feels like a fan-made version of the top-notch NES platformer, Blaster Master, but it is actually a bona fide legitimate sequel on the Game Boy Color put forth by Sunsoft.
In this movie the author abuses many glitches to take massive shortcuts in the game (including skipping an entire level). He also intentionally kills off the character several times in order to avoid backtracking.

It's too bad the Game Boy Color couldn't replicate the stellar bass that Sunsoft is known for. Still a solid game overall.

That is a lot of bull. The Wave channel is perfectly capable of reproducing the Sunsoft Bass, even in a reduced wavetable format. The music is honestly pretty lackluster in my opinion. I know the Gameboy hardware can do so much better than that.

For the most part I can agree. They could've even made an entirely new OST for this port or something similar.

Yeah I agree. New music, or arrange the music better. The game itself looks pretty rough, actually. Like their team was not familiar with the gameboy and rushed this version, or something like that.

Yeah, and I would also sometimes walk on spikes to save a few seconds when I couldn't wait for training to end. My drill sergeant would always get so mad.😅

Definitely a good tas, the screen crunch on the other hand is a down right parody on how bad it is.

I enjoyed that the very first thing that they did after getting the High Jump was to jump very high, then immediately die from fall damage

I remember getting this when it came out... around 2000. It confused me at first, but I loved the graphics and music. Fast forward a few decades and I'm in love with the Zero reboot. Even downloaded this on my 3DS. Awesome series.

Blaster Master exists on Gameboy??? It's my definite childhood game (that I could never beat--screw you, bubble crab), and I never knew this port existed!

Nice, i thought that it's gonna be the Nes version, but not exactly. ..... Ohh Man the music just plain suck, i really hate the GBC sound chip. Too bad, the Classical Nes tunes were butchered with it's naughty sound chip from this grossy console. A really pain for the ears. Not a real enhancement for the originals. Just downgraded to a puke from a vomit state. Shame.
