So, I have a question. I hope you are able to answer this sir shomu. If most promoters are TATA boxes, then how are the transcription complexes which attach around the TATA sequence able to distinguish between different genes. For example, if your body needs more insulin and it sends a signal for insulin production, and say the promoter in front of insulin gene and some other gene is a TATA box, then how does your body know to choose the TATA box before the insulin and not the other genes. Thank you so much and you are one of the best biology tutor’s on KZbin.
