Me driving tiago for 7+ years with NA engine , stalled car maybe 5-6 times due to wrong gear selection. Engine is antique, vibrations but never let me down.

True. What i wonder is, unless Tata did some over-smart antique with this new gearbox, what he is referring to on manual Tigor and Tiago etc, it does not fit his description. I had a bs4 Tiago for 6 yrs and now a bs6 Tigor, i can vouch and prove that even in stop go traffic of Indian metros, the car bloody takes up a speed of 30 kmph in 4th gear without pressing acceleration & ZERO knocking.

5-6 years or h bus diesels ke lie. Hybrid and EV raaj karegi. Vo technology sasti ho jane wali h. BS7 ate hi old aaj kharidi hui diesel cars koi 2nd hand nahi kharidega because of high taxes on ownership transfer. Uske baad bina ban kie bhi diesel cars selling and buying dono almost band ho jaegi.

Driven the curvv turbo petrol (not gdi) over a 1000 kms on highway and city bumper to bumper traffic…haven’t faced any stalling…but yes it definitely feels underpowered on the hills…otherwise very comfortable drive. Not for driving enthusiasts who need power from get go…
