Am i the only one who feels this car is overpriced for top end models ? 19 lakhs ex showroom for a 1.2 litre 3 cylinder engine, where competition is offering smooth 4 cyclinder units with significantly more power. They should have launched their 1.5 turbo petrol with the Curvv as well.

Hey, to clarify - 1) The DCA will save you the bother of dealing with the clutch pedal 2) Dual clutch gearboxes are best on open roads, but aren't as smooth as a CVT or torque converter in stop start traffic. The engine's ready torque amplifies the DCT's low speed hesitation

The second point is absolutely correct. The first point simply wants to convey that as far as comfort goes, buyers will be happy opting for an automatic. Now since the automatic is available only in DCT guise, he used the words "automatic" and "Dual Clutch" interchangeably. Hope that clears it up buddy. Regardless, don't purchase this car if you have the money. Looks like a shit machine tbh.

Tata cars major improvements/modifications required ASAP: 1. Panel gaps,fit and finish. 2. 3 cylinder non smooth engine, also Gearbox transmission needs refinement. 3. Less leg space in both front and rear seats in almost every car compared to its competition due to its interior design. 4. Need a lot more efforts for Service and Maintenance improvements across the country.

Citroen cars perform very poorly in crash tests. Curvv rear seat is for normal people , not for elephants. Me at 5.8 and 74 kg can sit lavishly with two similarly sized friends in the rear seat.

Tata Curvv seem to be a good car. Has good road presence as well. The new engine has received very good feedback as well. Indeed the petrol with DCA should be the best option. Tata cars are known for its fuel efficiency and I think the new petrol should return respectable mileage. This car can be a very good option for couples with kids below the age of 15. The massive boot, good on-road mannerism, high ground clearance, excellent shock absorbers plus all the additional features makes it a great option for long family drives or tours.

Had back to back experience of Tata and Kia showrooms. The Curvv was on display. It looks quite good from the outside, but once you look closely you realise that the fit and finish is not upto the mark. Lack of headroom as well as legroom at the back is quite evident. The Seltos in comparison is a much better product with better fit and finish, better space with smooth and powerful engine options. The quality of materials simply felt much better. The only real competitor for this car is Citroen Basalt which sells at a much lower price point. But Tata has priced this compact SUV in Mid Size SUV territory. Price should have been in Nexon territory. I just don't see the value in this vehicle other than it's unique shape. Frankly, to make a coupe SUV work, Tata should have made use of a much longer wheelbase like that of Harrier/Safari. This would have allowed much better head and leg space. Then they could have justified the price tag.

I dont get the the Curvv, it does not look good at all, it is much lesser practical than its rivals, it has lesser space, it has cheap quality interiors, its engines are mediocre as per the segment aswell. Cars like Creta sell in tons for a reason they have everything except for good build quality(though they are are rated 3 stars still) and honestly trading everything for build qualtiy is dumb. Tata's have lately been disappointing, they need to learn from koreans and mahindra too.

Diesel is 4 cyl engine. They don't make 3 cyl engines at all. The last 3 cyl diesel Tata has was 1.0 L used in Tiago, which I think they still use for Ace HT and smaller pickups. Rest are 4 cyl engines.

I happend to drive this car yesterday and I was upset after sitting in the back seat. I barely gelt any difference from my grand i10. I am 5.10 BTW and can't even imagine what 6 footers will face. Indian manufacturer should do a true EV now. All these currently available ones are made for both EV and ICE vehicles. A EV which is built from the scratch would have better storage at the front which these cars lack.

Basalt will beat this in performance nd ride quality. basalt engine/gearbox, suspension nd rear seat comfort is superior.

So only one thing which I do not like and infect not comfortable with front seats head rest.. please look into it - Safari, Harier and in curve too..
