Ippo, the battery is sourced from Tata AutoComp Systems Limited, which has a joint venture with China's Guoxuan Hi-Tech to produce them locally. Tata battery production thudengum enn ee varsham parenjirunn. Most probably in a few years they'll produce their own battery. Ippo they are in talks with Envision AESC( providing batteries for BMW, Nissan, Mercedes etc) we'll have to see how that goes.

@@ASV9399 Tata AutoComp is technically not producing but assembling battery cells imported from China. Gotion Hi Tech is planning to build an R&D centre here in Pune. Ithaan tata thudangum ennu parayunna battery production plant ennu tonnunu..AESC is also a Chinese firm which is a subsidiary of the Shanghai based Envision. They are involved in Tata UK Gigafactory. Basically Chinese tech aanu motham.Mercedes and even Mahindra is going to use BYD's blade battery in their upcoming models. Another Chinese tech.

So, it's normal to have TATA or any other Indian manufacturers to have partnership with them. Partnership കുഴപ്പം ഇല്ല, local manufacturing ഉണ്ടായാൽ മതി.
