I have a doubt. All people are complaining the 1.2 revotron NA engine in tiago and altroz. But no one complains the same engine in tigor or punch. I don't understand the logic. Can you please brief on that. I have a tiago with same engine. It is good enough for my requirement but I am curious about this perception of other.

@@ayush885 I don't feel the need for hybrid cars which are just as efficient as a revotron engine but lobbying with fake high mileage advertisements. Have you ever been in a nexon. Drive a nexon before commenting tata doesn't make good petrol engine. Suzuki also doesn't make good engines and to make it feel to perform better they compromise on build quality. Tata on the other hand gives better efficiency and build quality with low performance characteristics.

Honestly speaking, this seems to be much VFM for city usages, office reaches, groceries, etc. Also, it's safety is going to be much very much appreciated compared to the Maruti Suzuki WagonR EV which is pending to be launched from ages! Is it really VFM? The only version worth buying is the long range fast charging variant which is around 12 lakhs on road Bengaluru. 12 lakhs for a tiago, seems very steep considering you can pick up a top spec Altroz for nearly a lakh less.

Perfect city car for office goers. A good choice as a 2nd car too. Small dimensions, ample space for 4, adequate range for multiple office trips, great build quality, Low NVH and ridiculously low cost of running and maintenance. Icing on the cake is the perfect pricing, at 9L this seems far better value to money proportion when compared to a petrol hatchback. This will be a smash hit in the urban and suburban areas. The only downside is range as it cannot be used for outstation trips.

Yeah but haven't you seen mobile phone batteries? They deteriorate in just 3 years. Same goes for this EV. They are selling cheap because they use cheap materials, after 3 years you will hardly be getting 120km per full charge.

@@dark420passenger nope it won't behave as such at all since these are completely different than your phone batteries. Plus you have 7 yrs battery warranty, if backup falls somehow you'll get a new replacement free of cost.

@@ashutosht10 you may have 7 years of battery warranty but on what terms and conditions? Only if the battery totally fails. Warranty doesn't cover the deterioration, if the battery is able to charge and provide you 120kms range then tata will say battery still works so no replacement. These experiences when it happens first hand only then you will know the pain and sufferring of going back and forth with tata after sales service.

Good and informative video, value for money car for all ranges. Let me add a few more negatives, 1. No electric fitting allowed in tata EV models that will void warranty. So cannot fit reverse sensors for XZ+ and camera in lower variants. 2. Cost cutting in some areas like missing motor front bay EV badging shield that we see in tigor or Nexon, no boot space lamp (can't fix as per point 1) 3. Auto dimming irvms (expected in 10+ lakhs car) but can be ignored with other sets of features. 4. Need to charge at home after 2 or 3 DC charging, not 100% dc charging support as Citroen ec3. 5. No real TPMS (only iTPMS available) as available in the New Tiago ICE version. 6. No proper hill to assist, need to rely on hand break on slopes. Unlike ICE cars it doesn't work like half clutch apply. 7. under steering there are exposed wires, and 8. lastly detailed fit and finish is not done Even with this all, Tata is dare enough to bring an affordable car to Indian market.

The battery information sticker made me so happy. They are using off-the-shelf standard IFR32135 15ah Lifepo4 cells! . This pack should be user serviceable if u know what u are doing. And Lifepo4 has a lot longer life cycle than lithium ion. Lifepo4 does not catch fire even if u pin a nail through them they are way more stable but they are less energy dense and weighs more but for a city car with tiny battery the cycle life is more important here. The whole battery has 100 cells in series and 5 in parallel. For 320v 75ah. If the cells die and u ran out of warranty and tata asks too much for replacement, u can buy the cells directly from china. And make your own pack if u have the expertise.

I was also expecting lithium ion battery which has 1000 charge cycle and Lithium phosphate battery has minimum 2000 charge cycle if one get 150-180 km per charge battery should have 3-3.6 lakh km battery life.

@@deepakatray21 you would generally get 3000-6000 cycles cus car manufacturers do not let the battery discharge down to 0%. They would stop at 90% - 80% (on display it would say 100% discharged ). & You would never realistically get the car down from 100-0% for city use it would generally be around 10-20% discharged then recharged again at the end of the day. So calander life would effect the battery more than cycle life unless it's used as a taxi. You would be replacing it every 10 years or get a new car by then. Actually i would say do not buy ev unless you are a taxi driver and your car would be worn out in 10 years anyways. Stay with petrol diesel or hybrid..best hybrid system out there is the toyota 5th gen hybrid used in the new innova hycross. With the dynamic force engine that achives nearly 50% thermal efficiency. There is no need to buy an ev and deal with all the issues. And wait around for charging.

EVs in India doesn't make much sense now. In the foreign market atleast you get obvious performance advantages for the premium you are paying ,with more reliable charging infrastructure. Here you pay premium to get a subpar range with no real performance improvement and totally unreliable charging infra. It makes sense only as a second car for the upper middle class that is okay with onetime lump sum investment but want to keep monthly expenses down. I mean there is no ev under 20L that can comfortably do a 300km trip without sweating your pants. And for all people that say drive with a light foot ,keep it under 60 , switch off ac ..i mean why spend this much to drive your car like a scooter.. Although i agree it will get better over time, right now it doesn't make sense

Had an issue with my Karizma R when bought in 2009, even after a thorough PDi check after a week there was an issue with the second gear . Bike won't go into 2nd gear that was my hard-earned 85000 / rs back then and my dream bike finally bought it and had a problem. But I stayed focused and calm and went to the service center and they were kind enough to fix the problem. I thought new bike and they are opening engine , but they knew what they are doing also do your own research as well and no matter what Stay Positive and Calm .

Thanks Faisal sir I was looking for battery details whether it is lithium or lithium phosphate battery. Lithium phosphate battery which has minimum 2000 charge cycle if we consider battery range 150-180 km per charge car with this battery can clock 3-3.6 lakh km easily. Kudos to Tata Motors.
