Seeing James embrace skincare has only made me more horrified by what I witnessed today. My husband came home from work today and went straight to the bathroom as he usually does to wash his hands and face which are very dirty because he is a welder and a millwright. He does this everyday before having a shower so he can spend some time with our twin 2 year olds as they are super excited to see him. I normally don't see the process because he uses the potty as well but today he poked his head out to tell me something and I stood stunned as he pumped out 3 pumps of foamy, pine scented, bath and body works antibacterial hand soap and slathered it all over his face! I was like "why are you putting that on your face???" He shrugged and said "I don't know, this is what I use everyday, soap is soap" Hold me!

That made me laugh! My boyfriend uses a dove soap bar from head to toe, besides his shampoo. In all fairness, he doesn’t have sensitive, acne-prone skin like I do. I rarely see him have any skin issues or pimples. But antibacterial hand soap is something else 😂🤣

Hi Tati, I noticed you used the Biologique Recherche Lotion P50 toner and said that you can't use it everyday. It's actually meant to be used every day (I have this toner as well) and I'm thinking maybe you didn't apply it correctly? My cousin is a Biologique Recherche representative and she told me that the proper way to use the Lotion P50 is to put a small amount on a cotton pad and gently dab it onto cleansed skin (not rub). If you ever feel that your skin is tingling or you see red patches, this simply means that the toner is balancing your pH. Once the tingling and patchiness goes away, it means that your pH balance has been restored. It's a beautiful product and I use it day and night as part of my every day skin care routine! Hope you give it another try using this method and see great results :)

Hey everyone. Be extra careful when using an in-shower moisturizer. I used it once last year (different brand I think) cleaned out my whole shower that night and getting into the shower the next day I slipped and fell, breaking my toe. I never used it again, but something to be aware of.

HeyyitzAlyssa For sure! It was only my littlest two toes thankfully (my pinky toe is still crooked from when it happened). I even used 409 bleach and wiped the whole thing down with paper towels and it was still incredibly slippery. Maybe if you have one of those traction mats or something?

Tati, try the La Roche Posay anthelios liquid face sunscreen, it comes in SPF50 mineral tinted, or SPF60 non tinted. The Clarins UV plus face sunscreens are really good too. All mineral based, SPF 40, comes in clear, and two tinted shades. I have extremely sensitive skin and I can use all of those products with no issues.

I am a total Briogeo hair care convert myself. Nothing beats it. Nothing. I too have been suffering from dry scalp (I do every fall and winter). Nothing makes it go away that is ok to use on color treated hair. And then I tried that Briogeo charcoal shampoo. First time I used it - I didn't have a SINGLE flake on my scalp. And my hair was softer than it's ever been. My hairdresser was amazed at how healthy and shiny (and with how much my hair grew, something else I was struggling with) my hair has become. It's allllll due to Briogeo. Plus the fact that I have trained my hair to only need washed once a week and I have quit Heat styling for the most part.

Hi Tati! If youre wanting to try more natural dry shampoos, I really love the one from Lush! It has a nice light citrus sent, its a powder, so you don't have to worry about aerosol, and i find that it doesn't leave a white cast and isn't heavy in my hair. You can also get different sizes online, so if you just want to try it, you can get a small one and if you love it you can get a bigger one! My small one lasted me almost a year, and i was using it almost every other day. Hope you have a swell day! 😊

Tati, when you get to the end of a tube of something. Do what i do. Turn the tube upside down and simply cut ghe bottom off with scissors. You would be supprised at how much product is still inside. I scoop out what is left with a sterile scoop and deposit the product into a storage jar and label it for reference. I do the same thing with products with pumps. I unscrew the pump off the bottle and again scoop out the remaining product. I am always amazed at how much there is left. Try it with your favourites x

The city skin day moisturizer from murad works for my skin! It’s a physical sunscreen with spf 50 instead of a chemical one so it doesn’t clog my pores! I have the same issue with SPFs. Also, the purology dry shampoo does work really well, but dried my mother’s scalp put so much and left sores on it. Too much dry shampoo can clog hair follicles and cause balding so I am glad you’re giving your scalp a break from it!

TATI! If you are looking to avoid harsh chemicals for your hair, PLEASE try the Aveda shampure dry shampoo. It is so incredible, and it’s made with non toxic chemicals. It’s not an aerosol and it’s similar to the one you listed in his video. It’s a game changer!

OMG I do the same thing with my spa products. I feel like if I spend a lot of money then I need to save it for.....something......It makes no sense...but it's a thing haha. I really need to stop doing that.

Tati, for sunscreen check out Cocoon Apothecary, a Canadian brand. It is the best for reactive skin, keeps oil in check, moisturizes, is great under makeup etc. I don't know how they did it but it's amazing and 30$CAD

$100's for a moisturizer?! Uuuuuhhhhh no thank you. That's absurd j/s. That shadow looks beautiful & really brings out/brightens your eyes! Love the eyeshadow ❤️❤️

Crystal Roy it may be absurd to you, but not for others.

huntahboo To each their own. If you wanna spend $100's on a moisturizer go right on ahead! I can get the same results from one that's much cheaper
@huntahboo7 жыл бұрын
Crystal Roy lol I use the skinstitut range. Very affordable skincare. I just don’t think telling people that what they like or use is absurd is very kind. We all have different budgets, priorities and if spending it on a luxurious moisturizer makes someone feel special and indulged I say fantastic 🙂
@crystalroy43347 жыл бұрын
huntahboo like I said to each their own. These companies making people spend that amount of money for a moisturizer is ridiculous. If someone wants to spend $100, $200 or $300+ on something like that then go for it but there's others out there that can & will give the same results. Makeup & skin care prices have gotten out of control lately & it's really sad.

huntahboo The $100 I would say yeah, okay but when it gets up into the $200-$400 range; it's a bit much

All these people whining about the price of everything... hypocrites! Pretty sure if they could afford expensive products or if they were sent to them, they use it! Loved the video Tati. FYI, your skin looks Bomb!

TIP: When you run out of tube style products, for example the dr brandt exfoliator, you can always cut them open as a last time use and scoop out any leftover product that sticks to the walls of the applicator - that you wouldn’t be able to squeeze out by hand through the end of the tube. Just a tip for those really expensive ones, might as well use the very last drop of product if you are spending lots of money for it! You are welcome :)

Hey Tati! Can you let us know when you find another (less expensive) SPF option? My skin reacts the same way to any type of sunscreen and I’m in desperate need of a good suggestion! Xoxo 💋

Etude House Sunprise is the best SPF I’ve ever found. I have lupus and any contact with UV light causes massive issues for me, so daily sunscreen is a must. The Sunprise is inexpensive, lightweight, non oily, doesn't clog pores or cause breakouts, works very well under makeup and doesn’t smell like sunscreen. I am not kidding when I say I’ve used about 100 different face sunscreens and this is the best one by a long shot. I’d pay a lot more for it, but I’m glad I don’t have to.

Hey Tati! I know you’re into Brigeo right now...but if you want to try hair products with non-irritating ingredients- try Davines. Davines is an Italian hair care company. My favorite products from them are the OL shampoo, conditioner, hair milk and Oi serum. The naturaltech products are great as well! I have a super sensitive scalp that flakes and develops dry itchy patches from most heavily scented and chemical-laden products. I keep going back to this brand despite trying all the popular high end and low end brands.

If you’re looking for a new sunscreen I really like the one from cotz! I use the flawless complexion spf 50. It has a bit of a tint but it goes away if you put anything on top of it. It’s fairly moisturizing and doesn’t have anything really bad in it besides dimethicone. It’s all physical sunscreen, 20% zinc oxide.
