If you're going to be critical of a world-class athlete, at least be accurate. 75+ (Kg) is her weight class. Her world-record snatch was 146 Kg (over 320 pounds), almost half again her bodyweight. Just holding that overhead has to hurt the palms of her hands--notice how she shook them after dropping the weight!

@braden252 Yes, they can be randomly tested at any time, not just at competitions. They have to give the address of the place they will be for a 1 hour time slot every day, so people who use drugs are pretty much always caught and banned. And she isn't a powerlifter, she's a weightlifter.

Olympic lifting is a sport that women can excel because it relies on hip and leg strength rather than strength from shoulders as there is no pressing as you catch the weightlifting bar by jumping under it with arms fully stretched out. A female strength training can achieve about 75% the strength of a male strength trainer. The muscle mass to strength ratios are not much different.

Yeah, lots of "every day work" consist of failing to hold on to objects, with "true negative strength." Explosive power = moving fast, throwing hard, hitting hard, jumping far, jumping high, lifting huge weights fast... = awesome athleticism. "Negative Strength" = negative concentration curls, losing in armwrestling, failing at bencpress... = not awesome.

for the rest of the world powerlifting seems silly . you dont need a real technic, i mean im a powerlifter myself and i can teach anyone how to squat deadlift and bench within a week. but olympic weigthlifting is far more complicated and that´s why people see it as a real sport and it became olympic.
