Hi sweeties. I am now 65. I had postnatal depression 42 years ago. I had to be hospitalised when my twins were 8 months old. It is very hard. It took me a couple of years to recuperate. And since then when things get too stressful i have to go to therapy to recover. I have now my kids, grandkids and greatgrandkids. I hope no one will underestimate this type of depression.

Depression of any kind is not to be underestimated, but as a Catholic who used to be depressed and still living with my perpetrator keeping a close relationship with God helps a lot. As a matter of fact whether depression is caused by pregnancy, trauma, chronic stress, grief etc the main reason is that there are spirits of despair. Depression is not a mental illness it's a spiritual disorder 😊

It's not easy. I went from 9 months pregnant to C-section,by myself, doctor's appointment by myself, I used to live in the 4th floor apartment, no elevator. I used to cry every day. If you know what I mean. Now my son is 19 in his second year college .wow

*"He's a good man Savannah"* Whether it's menstruation, pregnancy, perimenopause or menopause, a woman's hormonal balance changes so drastically. My friends and I often say birth is a miracle every time, but parenthood is also a miracle. It's a blessing to have a partner, especially one that prioritizes and affirms you. That's the true joy of marriage, having somebody that's on your team and works for your betterment. I'm so glad you all have found a healthy new, normal. May God continue to bless and keep you and your beautiful family. ❤❤❤

But we are going to evaluate after we experience so time with our first. Kinda scary sometime people keep doing it over and over

I ONLY ever watch the shorts, but this was the most beautiful, transparent, raw, honest, sincere video. I also applaud you all on speaking about therapy. I'm a true advocate for it. It's so taboo to reveal to others. I also had a hard time connecting initially due to postpartum. I was so scared we'd never connect. My son and I are sooo close now, I'm almost tempted to say we're besties🤭😊. Therapy, routine and support got me to a better place. I love how y'all kept it real. I definitely can relate. It also feels good to see people who don't only post the perfect and prim, but also not posting drama for views. You all are such a good vibe and I wish you all the best. May God bless you all's family 🙏🏽❣️

Y’all are so cute! As a single mom just embrace it! One step at a time. I have a 2 year old. I never took maternity leave. I had my son all alone at 1 month. I worked with a few days old baby on my lap. You would never know this looking at my son, I’ve cried every single night I pray every single night and my son is so extremely happy you would never be able to tell what his parents went through. People typically share the best moments of their lives on social media so when others see that but they themselves are struggling, it can feel very isolating. Thank you so much for talking about the connection being weird and not always fitting what society tell moms motherhood is supposed to feel like. Thank you for making it okay to share how hard emotions are and how unprepared we can be to handle all the feelings that come with birth on our bodies. We deserve more research and support with having babies. It’s not as simple as society can present it to be. All the best to you two and little man. 💜

I appreciate this honesty. Ppl should know how hard having a baby can be on a couple. If u don’t have a tight bond, it can rip ppl apart or you can come out on the other side a stronger couple. It’s stressful!!! Men need to be incredibly patient and understanding during that newborn phase.

Hey guys 😊 thank you so much for sharing this with us, alot of parents go through this when having a newborn child. But I just wanted to add a tip for mum, when a parent or mother are going through depression or postpartum our little ones can sense our emotions and can make them unsettled that's why baby boy was bonding with dad, he just knew that mummy was feeling something and they well always go to the opposite side. Don't beat yourself up mumma bear no one is perfect but you are doing an amazing job with your son. His lucky to have you as his mother 🥰🙏🏾💗

Why does Tato have a bonnet on?😂. Listen, I've been married 30 yrs and I enjoy watching your skits. They are very playful and fun! Love you alls personality. This segment was important and I interesting because it made me tuned into myself as a spoiled. married woman of 30 yrs. I have a very loving husband that would do anything in his power for me and goes out of his way to make me happy. But sometimes I'm spoiled and don't appreciate his efforts . Just today he told me no other man would put up with my spoiledness. Lol . Eyy I kind of been this way. Ya know, the youngest child , we all have our faults but obviously I'm worth staying with becuase he's still here. He could have left a long time ago and so could have I, but we make it work because the love is still there mutually and yes date nights ate extremely important We definitely indulge in them. So keep doing what you guys are doing as newlyweds.Your on the right track. Forever is a long time. Keep appreciating and loving each other the way that you do. It's beautiful and refreshing to see.❤

It’s important to always do therapy individually, The problem with therapy is that people wait until something bad happens to start. Start therapy and it doesn’t have to be every week, but it’s important to talk to someone rather than your partner or friends etc. I love y’all very much, always sending good vibes to you 3 ✨🤍.

The bloopers are hilarious. You guys are so fun and funny. And everything you mentioned is normal and so many couples go through it. A baby is so hard on the woman and her body and has the hormones all over the place - so it's very easy to become out of touch with things especially your emotions

Thanks so much for sharing and being vulnerable about your struggles...all of it because it will help other young couples. I'm so proud of you Tato for putting yoyr best into loving your wife and child. So many men are so insecure that when a woman is struggling emotionally, they just get another woman so they can feel like a man again. I'm proud of you Vira for pushing through and admitting that you were struggling. I can tell you as a mom that pregnacy is rough on the body and the hormones coyrsing through our veins during pregnancy and breastfeeding is crazy literally so you're flooded with all these emotions, crying for "no reason", upset for seemingly "no reason" as well. It's alot to manage. I had little help from my ex when my daughter was born because he was dealing with his iwn inadequacies and fears which I did not help with cause as a new mother I was also dealing with my own fears and there were days I was upset with her cause I was so tired and she wasn't sleeping through the night yet. It gets better as you get to know your baby as well and build that bond which is exactly what happened with you. My reason for sharing is to let you know that you're not a bad mom because of your struggles and that you both have done really well as young parents and husband and wife 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

I love you guys! You remind me so much of my husband and I. We have a 6 month old and have very little support, it is hard especially when both parents work full-time. Thank you for your transparency 🙏🏾
