I personally like the Baker shift link. Its a lot more money but it's heavy duty and really nice. It fits nice and snug on the splines too. My previous method to get a better fit was to pinch the lever in my vice and close up the gap a little bit then tighten the piss out of that socket head cap screw.

Ive done the same thing on a hill bike that was wore , the bolt was tight and still loose on the shaft , took the bolt out closed the gap up in a vice and hack sawed down threw the gap , tightened the vice and sawed down threw the gap again , it tightened up on the shaft then .

@charlesmccormick4443 yeah, typically works wonders! Makes no sense why this couldn't have been squared instead of splined. Like it'll EVER need adjusting? They totally suck... I have 2 bikes that have this welded permanently on there. If it ever needs taken apart simply grind it off and done.
