This ride-mostly that pretzel loop-made me the man I am today. I rode it when I was 12 and by the next year I had grown 6 inches and my voice changed. It was no coincidence. I’m saying it’ll put hair on your chest. I’ve actually got about one chest hair for every time I’ve been on it.

I've been on Manta, and you're absolutely right. That moment when I got flipped onto my stomach really increased my anxiety, especially because it was the 2nd roller coaster i've ever been on in my life (besides kiddie coasters). I was terrified going up the lift hill but I still forced myself to face the ground to test my bravery. As soon as the train left the lift hill, some of my anxiety went away, but then I remembered that there was a pretzel loop right after the drop. So my anxiety came back, but as soon as the pretzel loop was over, I felt like a king and the rest of the ride was very enjoyable. Too bad I only got to ride it once though. Probably because I spent the whole day marathoning Mako, that ride is awesome.

Tatsu was the most scared I was for a ride before getting on, and the most satisfying feeling of loving it once the first drop hit. It’s such a freeing and incredible feeling you don’t get anywhere else and that is why it’s one of my favorite coasters everywhere. I always pretend I’m a dragon swooping down to chomp down on some prey when the pretzel loop hits.

As I get older, that pretzel loop is becoming almost too much to handle for me. That combined its slow operations, Tatsu is usually a one and done on my visits to SFMM. It’s not a bad ride, it’s just that I prefer to spend more time at Twisted Colossus and West Coast Racers.

I want to ride this if I go to the park sooner or later and I was wondering if the pretzel loop is so intense where you can’t breathe or like for people with asthma in a way? And are the restraints tight?
@ParksBros4 жыл бұрын
It might be a bit hard to breathe for a couple seconds due to the g-forces, but as someone with asthma myself, I don't seem to have problems breathing immediately after the pretzel loop. The restraints are relatively tight, but feel snug during the ride experience and not too tight to were it hurts.

Once you are flipped onto your front and facing the ground, do you feel the restraint pressure at your your shoulders, torso (because of the vest) or at your stomach and abdomen? I'm having a minor hernia procedure done a week before we go on Jan. It's nothing severe but I can't pressure there.

I just went on it yesterday, it was first coaster of the day and first coaster I been on since I went to knotts berry farm 10 years ago, let’s just say I got a major cramp in my upper right thigh and was extremely uncomfortable since you can’t move at all in your seat, I wouldn’t ride it if I had any type of hernia, there’s lots of straining during pretzel loop
