As someone with tattoos it’ll sting but that’s it. Ever showered with a cut? It burns but it’s bearable. That’s the pain when it comes to trickier sections, apart from that it really just stings and it’s over faster than you think

I just got my first one a few days ago! Definitely recommend listening to music in one ear, I focused on that to ignore the more painful sections. But honestly, it's painful but not too painful, like everyone else says! And like Monika said, it feels more like a sting for most parts

I’ve been getting tattooed all over my body for the last 35 years. I always get nervous before getting tattooed even when it’s someone I’ve been tattooed by multiple times. Just breath, eat a meal before you go, take a shower, and bring some water.

My first tattoo was so chill. I was tense at first, then when we began I was like "...that's it? It's not painful" and at the end my tattoo artist even complimented me saying I was the most still person she ever tattooed😂

I wish I had chilled out. I had like 10 people in my ear telling my how bad it was gonna be to have my chest done. Got in started like panicking and my artist was looking at me all sorts if ways. And as soon as the needle touched me I realized how much if a baby I was. Not even gonna lie about it. I was pacing the shop before we started. Don't get in someone's ear and say it's gonna be bad

You don't need to talk the entire time, sit back and relax, it'll sting a little but ultimately it just feels like an indian burn

Very true. My first was on my arm and it hurt but not that bad..Now My second tattoo was on my ribs, and yeah was probably worse then I thought it was going to be.

my first one was behind my ear, the uncomfortable part was feeling the vibrations on my skull, not much actual pain but it was like 15 mins in the chair, next tattoo is a shoulder piece that might take 8 to 10 hours so we will see

A really good piece of advice is don’t drink alcohol the night before and the day of your tattoo. Don’t drink caffeine the day of your tattoo. Stay nicely hydrated (drink water) before and the day of your tattoo. And have a good hardy meal an hour before your tattoo. Don’t go in with an empty stomach.

I had a tattoo that took 3, 5 hour sessions to complete. The longest I've been in the chair was getting my neck done, though. 8 hours in one day for Art The Clown. Another 8 hours for eyeball on my Adam's apple and Needless Kane on the back of my neck. You might know him as the driver of the Sweet Tooth truck. I wouldn't say 10 hours being unheard of.

They don't hurt but on areas where there is bone or hard muscle it hurts more then where u have fat keep it in mind

Tattoos are nothing. After a while your use to the pain. I got two full sleeves hands included done neck covered and left side with Odin on it done.
