Taurus has come a long way in the value firearm category. There has been a tremendous improvement in quality since they opened the production facility in Georgia. My only complaint is customer support. If they could get to the quality of Ruger, which is the best in the industry, Taurus may well become a dominant player in the autoloader market.

This one makes sense for a carry pistol than the G3X. Smaller frame/grip with longer slide/barrel. The grip is what prints. Probably not for appendix folks but everyone else either this or a G2c/G3c/GX4.

Yeah.. I've been trying to get a G3 upper for my G3C for a while now.. since the TORO crap came out, they stopped selling the G3 slides and only sell the G3/G3C TORO slides which are always out of stock.. I'm not buying this tho.. I just want a longer slide on my G3C because as is, the damn gun is too top heavy when carrying it and it feels uncomfortable as it feels like it's going to fall out even though my holster holds it just fine.

@@Sigrafix I have a G2c and am happy with it so a G3XL is not necessary for me. I do like the fact that the longer slide/barrel will have higher velocity and muzzle energy though than the two inch bores of the sub compacts and micro. Also longer sight radius. It might even be a little less snappy.

@@rbm6184 I like the idea of the G3XL as it's something I've been wanting to do since the G3C came out. The only reason I don't want a G3XL is because I don't want another Taurus Lol.. if the G3XL was around when the G3C came out, I would of gotten the G3XL instead. As of now, the G3C is by throwaway gun.. I usually keep it as a back up in my car and if I'm doing something where I'd be concerned about damaging my red dot on my carry gun then I swap it out for the G3C in my car. But yeah, if the damn G3 or G3 Toro slide ever becomes available again, I'll buy it and put it on my G3C.

While I like and wanted this design, that stupid hole in the bottom of the slide under the barrel kills it for me. My g2c gets enough lint and dirt in the holster to completely block out the front dot (I work and play outside and get dirty often lol) and beyond. I can only imagine how much would get into the slide around the guide rod.

Sure wish i would've got this instead of the gx4. The gx4 is a good gun but the mag release is to sensitive and protrudes which causes the mag to release unintentionally when holstered

I called taurus when the toro slides came out because I wanted to buy the g3 toro slide and put it on my g3c frame. They said it wouldn't fit, and it's super dangerous to try. Now they sell it.

Why wasn't the frame extended to fit the slide like the g3? You extended the grip for the g3x so why not do the same to make the frame fit the slide better.

The reason they don't "market" models w/safety levers is because *ALL* other G2 & G3 guns *HAVE* a safety lever. When they release a model like this making the point of *REMOVING* said safety lever it sparks the interest of some of us in the gun owner community who have more training & experience in defensive firearms than most other citizens....

I have over 30 years experience with not only Taurus revolvers & semi autos but also a host of other makes/models/platforms of handgun. Several of the semi autos I've owned or still own had that safety lever, some did not. I am comfortable using/carrying either type. In furtherance, that whole "throw it in a nightstand and forget about it" is not something I ascribe to. I know the location and type of *EVERY* gun I have......

This is awesome but why not give it the trigger from the gx4. The only hold back Taurus pistols have is the trigger pull. You fixed it with the gx4 so why is it not the standard. That would knock canik off it's soap box and make Taurus the go to.

I've had my G2c since 2018 and really don't want to "upgrade" to the G3 series considering all of the feed & slide battery issues I've seen. Plus, I really don't want to give up my manual safety. How hard could it be to make TORO uppers for the G2 series and both safety/non-safety versions of their frames. M&P has that option in almost every one of their pistols. 🤔

@@Anonymous_________ Did torture test with nre g3, 600 rounds and frame cracked. My glock near 6000 rounds, my m&p over 10,000 rounds. Taurus had been shit for the last 20 years. Which is why they changed their warranty to 1 year.
