I was so lost it threw me for a loop.. your video helped so much. Thank you again and again and I truly hope you are being blessed.

Great video, thanx my friend to North America from South America. S&W and Ruger are 3 times more expensive in my country than in the US, cause of taxes. After seen this, I have no prob to buy that gun from brasil with less taxes. You helped me a lot! Saludos cordales de South America

So I found something that helped immensely with the tightness of the cylinder crane. I pulled the detent spring out of that first screw, and clipped about 1.5 turns off the end of the spring. Reinstalled, and now with the screw tight the cylinder crane freely moves in and out with little to no resistance aside from the latch pins.

Right on ,I just bought one from a guy ,not a tracker but basically the same. The reason he sold it was he fell on it ,broke the thumb off the hammer and sheared the pin inside that the hammer slides onto. He was traveling by in a kyak. And I offerd him a beer. He told me his story. I offerd him trade for a shot gun,or $ 400 . He took the money. Hopefully he can buy a bear pistol at his next stop. He has bear spray right now. I could send it to tarus there real good abought stuff. I know from exsperiance. But I decided to drill it out and make my own hammer pin and the hammer thumb has just enough left on it to cock it. I could of offerd him less for it,but for me I feel I like it was a win win for both of us. He said he paid $450 . So it was only a $50 learning curve for him. Any how good video it helped.

Out of the 9 years I've owned mine, the only problem I've ever had is a cylinder stop malfunction. Cylinder stop works fine in D/A, but the cylinder stop stays down sometimes when working the hammer for S/A. Actually just started happening the other day, but it like locked up today, and I had to push the trigger forward to get it to unjam.

I JUST bought a new one last week and wanted to know... does the cylinder release have a little “wobble” to it naturally? The screw is in tight. And it works as it should. Just want to know is it supposed to have that little bit of slack (if you were to take your thumbnail and wiggle it)? First revolver owner and wanna make sure I’m not about to go fire a grenade lol

Thanks for the video. A friend just bought one like this and his cylinder slides out. After watching this video it looks like the little piece you caught in your hand after removing the first of the three screws is missing from his. What did you call that little piece?
@TRRGuns2 жыл бұрын
My apologies for the late response. That is the cylinder yoke screw. The Smith and Wesson part number 219860000 is generally interchangeable with the same screw on the Taurus.

Great video, I'm having some trouble with my tracker 44 and was wondering if you would elaborate on the problem you were having with yours. I just replaced the ejector spring, but I am now thinking it may be an issue with the center pin, or center pin spring. The cylinder feels "bound" when cocking. Thanks for any info. Keep up the great videos.

@TRRGuns2 жыл бұрын
Yes, all the trackers should have the same barrel thread in the receiver. It will likely require some machining to make sure the barrel clocks correctly and to ensure the proper cylinder gap.
