Hey Joe nice review. I picked this up a little while back but have yet to get it to the range. Just an FYI being here in Connecticut mine came out of the box a bit different than yours. First off as we have a restriction on capacity so it came with 2 x 10 round mags. A larger capacity would be nice but not a biggie. The other is that because you can't have a suppressor in CT it came without the adaptor and the front part of the barrel came pinned. Look forward to seeing it when you get it to the range.

Very informative Video! I personally would rather see a dark Brown framed pistol but, OD would be my second choice. I just bought my wife the TX22 in Wine-Purple and it looks great. Shoots great too. And thank you for answering the Question about "dry-firing"! I went cover to cover, in the Owner's Manual, and saw nothing about it.

I’ve been agonizing over getting the “right” .22 semi-auto. I finally, based on reviews, bought a TX22. Took it to the range, and straight out of the box we were shooting tennis ball sized groups at 30 feet, and grapefruit sized groups at 50 feet. I noticed that my accuracy with larger firearms improved after a few magazines thru the TX22. This little pistol is already a “cheat code” on its own.

I just bought two of them on sale last week for $259 each with a additional $18 off each with my Veterans discount. I ordered a Tandemkross Eagle Eye fully adjustable fiber optic sight for one of them. The other one I ordered a Vortex Viper OPMOD FDE red dot on sale and a Galloway Precision dovetail mount for it. The pistols appear to be very good for the money however the sights leave something to be desired and I read enough complaints about them to just rework the problems before even shooting them for the first time.

I love my TX22 as much as any training pistol, but using the barrel extension will cause the top slide to weaken. If you look, you can see the 2 very small aluminum weak points n each side where the l ml l rod guides through. I'veñ lol had 2 slides replaced by Taurus because of that weak spot. I now shoot standard velocity WITHOUT the ext. The ext. violently smacks and causes b to fail. in one small areas.l

I've read the thin aluminum slide develops cracks after a time because of a defect in the spring. Does the Lakeline rod and spring solve the problem, or can the spring can be modified or has Taurus itself remedied the issue? On the basis of numerous reviews and claims that Taurus had "improved their game," one of my early acquisitions was a G3, but I was unimpressed and sold it. I guess I'm a bit leery of Taurus. I think there are better guns for similar or slightly more money.

Thanks for revisiting this pistol I have had 7 22lr pistols over the years and taurus use to be known for substandard copies of Smith @ wessons that where cheap to purchase and I think they where often unfairly looked at as Saturday knight specials but my father had a taurus revolver for years and it wasn't terrible but now the companies come a long way and the tx22 to me was the most well put together gun simple modern striker fired most rim fire copies will have and internal hammer the taurus is a true striker fired gun witch operates excellent it has high capacity magazines it has a nice full size feel and look yet it doesn't copy any other centerfire pistol I bought mine right when it came out it eats ammunition that no other 22 I've fired would do the extras the mag loader and thread adapter where a nice touch and I took it right to the range and went thrue and entire box of 550 bulk ammo with maybe a 5% failure rate that is unheard of with that stuff and it is and excellent suppressor host very quiet and dead nuts on target you can't really ask for much more people spend thousands on custom 22s and the tx22 has no need for change they have introduced a target model and a compact but this one is a permanent fixture in my range bag and I don't think most people would require anything else in 22lr thank you for the relook.

I have seen other KZbinrs having trouble with the #2 magazine and rounds hanging up in it. They take it apart and clean it and that fixes it. Have you had this issue?

This version of the OD Green came from Davidson's which is a distributor that gets custom colors from the manufacturer. It is slightly mossier green than the standard green if that makes any sense

Totally different feel. In terms of reliability it's much better. But since it doesn't have a metal frame it feels more like a Glock 44 than a Beretta m922
