Wow he gave you at least $15k worth of extra parts probably more
@john-paulsilke8935 жыл бұрын
Benard Jenkins for sure, I started drooling about secondary market possibilities. He threw in all the extras because he didn’t quibble about his insanely low asking price like most “shrewd negotiators” often do. Rabbit may have got he car for $65,000 and a night with the owners wife as well as a spare parts car but most mortal humans would have screwed themselves by low balling. He may even get more parts when they move cars around in their shop and discover other bits in the shadows because he was an easy deal. Also there are many future possibilities because of his easy going purchase. I’ve worked in the movie industry and they can be extremely generous to people who aren’t a-holes and simply take what they are given at what is a very good deal. I once bought 25 55gal wooden casks for $25 each that they needed moved by the end of the day. I was given bad information about their location and weight and it nearly proved impossible but I did what I said I would do and quickly sold off most of them for $150 each but didn’t make a huge profit because I had to rent a Hiab to lift them out and a flat deck truck as well because of time constraints. People were watching and saw I kept my word even though I should have packed it in and crashed or renegotiated the deal. 2 months later they offered me another 60 barrels for the same price and I simply said yes although they knew I didn’t make much the last time. They delivered them to my secondary seller and the 10 I kept straight to me although I’m pretty sure it cost them as much as I paid or more to do so. I made nearly $6,000 and had another $2,000 worth for myself that I sold in drinks and drabs.

Correct. The FIRST thing you do is take a car used in a film franchise where one of the main fucking actors was killed in a car crash, and you make that car less safe by removing all the roll cages. *facepalm*
@bigsmoke77545 жыл бұрын
Juan Cornetto well he’s using it more of a daily driver not a race car.
@renewillard38135 жыл бұрын
The chances of him dying in this car after he brings it to oem spec are very very very low. The roll cage was in the way of everything because it was built and thrown in the car as fast as possible that shit was held in by harbor freight bolts not welded in. Plus the head wold be impacting the top bar in a bad crash. The cage would have done more harm than good. Who died in this car? And or in the making of that movie? I’m uninformed. Clearly states the hacked roll cage went through the window causing a delete. In turn causes carbon build up in cab and you die. (Windows don’t roll down) did you watch the same video I did? Thisisnt a drag car who tf needs a cage as a daily driver? You ken blocking this car bro? Doubt it.. so keep the cage and die driving because of carbon poisoning. Solid logic.

They saw it as a movie car when they used it in the F&F......i see it as a violation to a beautiful car.....Please tavarish restore this car back to its former glory, when it first rolled out of the factory

The head-unit is actually not *that* bad. Looked like a Becker Traffic Pro to me, which I had in two of my cars. The best thing about it was that you could change the navigation-lady's voice using a CD, which I did to give her a porn-star/seductress type of voice. Imagine Jessica Rabbit telling you when to make a turn in her sexiest come-hither voice... Always good for a laugh with people who rode with me for the first time...

Yes, that harman/kardon (becker) headunit was pretty good and expensive back in the day. China android unit, as Tavarish did on his last lambo, would be impovement in functionality, but not in sound quality.

Am I the only person that thinks removing the roll cage and adding a sound system removes its movie car cred? I get why he’s doing it but I’m a bit disappointed in the direction he seems to be going.

I don't think you appreciate the fact that there is no such thing as "movie car cred"... all that means is "hacked up in the most time and cost effective manner to be a near-single-use vehicle". I mean, they left out the nuts on the gearbox after changing the clutch...

@@andersjjensen Agreed, this car is a piece of shit and he's doing the world a favor by correcting all of the shortcuts they had to take to make the car work for the movie.

No matter what he does the car is still going to have the same provenance.

You missed the part about the roll cage deleting the rear window causing exhaust fumes to leak into the cabin. Keep the cabin and it’s essentially not drivable

So they installed a roll cage, but didn't think the exhaust fumes would hurt the actors?
