Black. Suggest you keep the intake lines black as white will detract from the look of the white valve covers. Same way you don't wear a white shirt with white pants. That's part of the reason the gold does not look good on them. Enjoy your channel!

@gosportjamie6 жыл бұрын
I think you had the right idea regarding the pipes from the charge cooler to the intake, but maybe the wrong approach. If I were you I'd seriously think about getting them ceramic coated white (if the budget can stand it,) it will give you the look you want and provide a better thermal barrier between charge temperature and under-bonnet temperatures. The cooler the charge the thicker the air, the thicker the air the more oxygen the engine receives and therefore the better the burn so you'll get more ponies...
@YoAbzi6 жыл бұрын
To be fair the intake pipes do look messy obviously not your fault but yeah best to paint them white.

layer the gold tape , use smaller cuts of tape and do a pattern. the pattern could be simple small squares layered over and over . the pipes can be covered with small cuts of tape in any pattern it will look good if you take time to place each small cut of gold tape down and wipe smooth with a towel before placing the next piece of gold tape overlapped

Cars coming along well man, great job on getting it back running again, I think personally imo you should have the intake tubes and intercooler coated in black as well instead of that gold tape that coating will help more then the tape, also I think the turbo parts all should have been done in the silver/chrome color coating it would look so good with the turbo hot sides looking all shiny and it would make them stand out a lot more, keep up the good work and think about changing those turbo colors before it’s to late! And do the intake tubes in black even if it’s painted to much white will be overwhelming like the gold is. Love the content.

Hey Tavarish it's more so chemistry. You are correct about the molecules from the air being hot and with the heat being consistent through the exhaust some of that heat doesn't escape, it increases combustion in the cylinders, thus increasing your power. And that NSX sounds SOOO good! You can't hear the supercharger though! 😢

Great video Freddy!! I'm kind of worried as it's only rated for 1,300° F without discoloration. The reason is exhaust temps are going to exceed that if you're racing or pushing the engine. I guess if you don't care about discoloration, but I have doubts it's going to keep that nice polished look.
@pault21486 жыл бұрын
Exhaust exceeding 1200 degrees? Gas turbine engines run around 550 degree exhaust. What about having more air ducts, vents, and/or fans? This will help greatly in the Florida summers. I moved to Central Florida in 1992 and still am trying to get used to the hot summers. The rest of the year is awesome, just very hot summers.
