We moved from the UK to Tavira 5 weeks ago and we love it. The moment we came here we fell in love with the place, the beach is fabulous we have gone every week with some beers and food, so relaxing, in fact we live across from the ferry that goes to the beach, so lucky. 😊

We just came back from Tavira after a short 4 day break, I’m sure I saw you two whilst walking the streets. It’s a fabulous place quite busy with tourists and the amount of good places to eat was incredible. I don’t know when you guys went but we went from 16th-20th May and it was roasting 28-30 degrees every day. I agree it’s very clean and fabulous

Greetings B&C! Say, @ 8:22 what is that hanging on the hook next to Brian? I cannot remember being anywhere in my travels and seeing anything like that...or at least that large presented with a meal. I've been to an Argentinean restaurant that would bring out grilled vegetables like that, but not that large. Regarding the streets and walkways. I have walked on cobblestones before that are almost ankle busters. In this video the walkways look pretty smooth. What is your assessment? I have read that a con to staying year round in the Algarve area is the homes and condos are poorly insulated making the winters cold and damp inside. I know you are going to Faro which is an expat haven, would you mind asking some year round expats if they find this is the case? Hey, maybe even try interviewing an expat couple for a video. Looks like you two are on another great adventure. Cheers!!

Hi Brad. The meat hanging from the hook is a delicious chicken and pineapple kabob!! The streets are much better here than in Lisbon and Porto from what we remember. The sidewalks aren't a problem at all from where we have been so far. We walk enough to where we are sensitive to the cobblestone as well. Seville was much more of an ankle buster the where we are now. The winters in the Algarve are mild, about 60 F on average. The newer constructed homes are much better insulated than the old. But we have heard the same and will ask the question to a local friend we have met. Thanks, Brad for watching!!! Cheers!!!🍻

When I think of Portugal I think of Pasteis de nata, those famous pies with crumbly pastry and sweet custard filling. Can't get enough of them. But now that you're back in affordable wine country, I'd love to know if you've sampled anything worth recommending, either from the supermarket or from your trips out and about.

Love a good wine question!! Anything from the Douro Vally is a good choice. If you like white wine Portugal is known for their Vino Verde. A light crisp wine that is really nice on a hot day. We may dive into some local wineries while we are here and come up with some specific brands we really enjoy! Cheers!!!🍷🍷

Tavira is a wonderful area, and we really enjoyed it. The only downside I would point out is if you want walkable access to the beach, this isn't the best place. You can get to their gorgeous beach by boat. We really enjoyed Lagos as well!

I found a couple with a channel that reminds me of the two of you. Perhaps you have seen it: 2GoRoam. They are a couple from the UK in their early 50s, sold most everything to slow travel, are very practical in their dress, both have short practical hair...etc. You two have your own sense of humor and they have a British sense of humor.
