Such a great trio of videos. I think you enjoyed this one the best out of all the GC videos I've seen. I think the sea air and drizzle cleared out the nose and taste buds. You also had an inquisitive sharks head cloud poking its nose in at about 3:00 to 3:20. Keith getting in on the act I think!!

A man after my own heart. Red Burgundy and real ale. Keep it up. Don't mind a slurp of Monrachet if you are of a mind to go white.

Hi Tweedy, I just subscribed to this and your sparkling channel, I'm a long time viewer of your outdoors and pub channels. (You are a very busy lad) So I was able to track down some Gevrey Chambertin here locally (Vancouver Island). The price was roughly in the range of $100 to just over $200 CAD a bottle depending on the variety/vintage. With the Canadian dollar (CAD) being worth roughly half of a British pound, is this a typical range for you or is the relative distance from France factoring into that price as well? Cheers and sorry for the math quiz. ;-)

I'm from England - those prices given the exchange rates - are maybe a little higher, but not that much - Burgundy is expensive compared to supermarket wine, you'll always pay a premium because of the scarcity. In England, very rare you'd get anything worth drinking less than £30GBP - 60 CAD

also if you're not used to wine for goodness sake don't blow a wedge on a bottle of burgundy lol - I would buy German spatburgunder or a generic french pinot noir just to see if you like the general taste of the grape - and much cheaper

@@swanfibre No, I didn't buy anything. I was just enquiring if it was similarly priced in the UK. Looks like there's a bit of a premium on our prices here for that calibre of plonk. I will be in the UK next May and may look for it.
