These numbers are bandied about but more than 70% + of that will be raised by private businesses eager to make a profit and the rest will probably never be spent, but it does get people like yourself excited. Dont forget the slice of the cake that will be used by quango's etc to administer the bureaucracy. 50% of all funding gets spent that way, governments are useless with our money

China is the biggest producer of so called cheap, green energy, if it was so good, cheap and efficient why is China not building more wind and solar farms, but coal powered, power stations Net zero the biggest on in western democracies, yes there is global warming, it has nothing to do with CO2, but our orbit around the sun, the axis the earth sits on, from 21 - 24’. We are still coming out of the last ice age, so it’s going to get warmer. I’m not a denier, but net zero is a con

This time, we spent all the money, borrowed even more money, hiked up taxes and spent all that and we filled our pockets up of all the office stationary and anything we could carry as we left. P.S. We also sold ALL the brass door handles, cooking utensiles, kitchen appliances, brass candle sticks and anything metal to the scrap man. The electric, gas and water have been cut off so we filled the loos with excrement and pissed on the carpets. SEEYA!

net zero was never sustainable, it costs too much to implement...it costs even more to every resident when the economy is in dire condition like the uk has. The US even dont want it because of how much it would cost to implement with trump set to axe it after inauguration, it justs costs too much to implement and in all honesty a greener economy is only great if you can genuinely afford it.

For me part of the problem was Starmer et al taking freebies whilst telling us that we were going to have a difficult time of it. It is the hypocrisy of it that has angered me. I was not expecting an immediate 'fix' for the situation but the people that were elected to, hopefully, sort out the mess immediately stuck their snouts in the trough. A very poor example indeed.

I know it’s crazy. How is this global warming thing so widely believed, oh wait it’s cold half the time so they just changed it to climate change, lol. The climate has been changing since the beginning of time. Also these scientists have been telling us at least since the 60s that the world is going to burn, then nothing happens. I think in the 70s they even went with global cooling. Are they not the boy who cried would yet. As for Covid, the avg age of a Covid death was 84 I believe, could we not have protected those people who are not usually running around the streets anyway. We could have let all the young healthy people go about their normal routine and create some kind of immunity. Instead we printed money we don’t have which is why we are bringing in all these people, our population is declining because we told our people not to have kids and just do you. So we bring in immigrants to keep the GDP up so we can pay our debts off. It’s not going to end well, we will be an Islamic country in 50-60 years.

Reluctant as I am I have to say towards the end of their tenure the Tories had calmed the waters a little and the shoots of growth were begining to grow. How it would have contined I don't know. However if we had that scenario now I'd take it above What Labour are doing. In its most simple form 3 things would need to be done to see a more prosperous future, deport, restric and get people working again. Well 4, reduce government and the civil service in particular. Anyone wondering why politicians appear to have so little power in so many areas??? The civil service I'm guessing and until the civil service is radically down sized and changed to serve the politicians who in turn should serve the people, it won't really matter who gets into power.

Context: ACCORDING TO Professor Karoly, a member of the Australian National Climate Science Advisory Committee the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere is 0.04%. (that means it is 0.0004 of the atmosphere) The UN IPCC intergovernmental panel on climate change says that of that 0.04%, the amount that is produced by all Human activity on Earth in a year is 3% (3% x 0.04% = 0.0012% of the total atmosphere, which is therefore 0.0012% of 0.04% which is 0.000048% of the total atmosphere, = 0.00000048 of the total atmosphere) Anybody who thinks the above amount has any significance must be mad. Anyway, apparently Australia for instance only produces 1.3% of the 0.0012% that is produced by Human activity in any case. So why would they need to worry about what kind of light bulbs they use for instance? Climate-change religionists have had people with "celebrity status" filling them with crap and they've love it, listening to heroes and following along, but it's all rubbish. They want a carbon tax as the new means of control, because their banking system is collapsing and they can't wait to impose a world-wide government that nobody can ever oppose, that's all.

Maybe but you will be expected to replace your ICE car with an electric at 30k upwards and then your gas boiler with a heat pump at 20k. Have you got that because I can guarantee most havent so its bankruptcy for millions as they wont be able to work without a car.

All this criticism of public sector getting pay rises, but let’s not forget just how much private sector workers were given for doing nothing during Covid eh? Public sector workers included a considerable number of ‘key workers’ and haven’t had any pay rises for decades. Spiting normal people having pay rises is pathetic.

Many public sector workers were able to work from home, something that wasn't available for many private sector workers. Many private sector workers also lost their jobs as a result of covid, with businesses going out of business. And many private sector workers also haven't had pay rises for a number of years, contrary to the story that's often told.

@@zoecurran4185 many didn't lose their jobs and got paid twice too, government payouts AND their wages... but no one mentions that. many public sector workers absolutely aren't able to work from home too. The point is these people constantly crap on public sector workers when its pathetic coming from people who gob off on tele for significant sums of money.

All tax payers deserve a happy life. All tax payers should expect their tax to be used to improve lives of all and those that are vulnerable! Imo and experience (you may be the exception) the medical profession and services during and continuing long after COVID became heartless, self righteous, condescending ego maniacs at the expense and suffering of the most vulnerable in society. Easily manipulated into abandoning the reasons they went into profession. I'm sick of it, kids suffered, elderly suffered, businesses suffered, abused children died, DV victims killed, elderly murdered lives destroyed, homes lost yet you want and still continue to expect to be placed top of list for doing job you signed up for and no longer do for same reasons! Get back to doing jobs with compassion and humanity to those that have no choice to rely on you at their most vulnerable times and earn that respect and support back!!
