agree however as an immigrant here in the US, I have realized one is never fully own their home, b/c of high property taxes. Mine is $8000 a year, and no matter what I have to pay it. Most people have higher taxes, rarely if it's lower.

You have done a wonderful job. It's a great house and congrats to your new adventure. I bought my first house at 37. It was my first house and my forever house. Not as big as your home and it's in the suburbs in a city in Canada but I understand all your stress. I was so glad to be moved in and able to relax. My house was a new build so slowly over the next 10 years I slowly did things like put up a fence, pave the driveway, build a shed, decorate. Now 21 years later I am at the stage of repairs and re decorate. Having a home a such a young age is a fantastic achievement. Enjoy!

Just a hint to clean off the hob on your cooker, dry soda crystals mixed with a little washing up liquid (liquid dish soap) and then scrub with a Scrub Daddy sponge or a scouring pad for non stick pans. Then wipe with a damp cloth. Soda crystals are great for stain removal and keeping your washing machine clean. Enjoy your new home. You don't need to get everything all at once. It's more fun getting the right pieces as and when you find them on your travels.

the couch looks comfy and fits well. but you can customize it by sewing covers for it. it should be a breeze for you. a house is a good investment.

Defo speak to your accountant - claiming interest or council tax as a business expense will mean you lose a portion of your capital gains tax exemption if you decide to sell.... you can still claim a % of electric / water usage / phones/ internet.... also office furniture / renos in the business areas - ie new carpet / blinds / downlights / paint / new doors. and if you buy anything off marketplace as long as its under $75 you dont need a receipt - but you still have to justify the expense with the ATO if they ask!

When she said she works a lot I remember when I used to be a medical biller before I had my daughter my first child. I was a workaholic. I would work more than 8 hours. 12 hours. Straight days. When it should be 8 hours. I would ask my boss to give me more work. Not for money just keep me busy

I just want to know what you're getting ready for 😜 So many places to explore around Australia that I can see you moving to Melbourne or somewhere in Qld even if it's just for a year at each place to see what it's like. Love the advice you gave about saving money and achieving goals. I think the negative aspect you experience from buying the house has more to do with the conduct of people's dishonesty and lack of pride in themselves that they do such shonky things and can't even at least clean the house when selling. When we bought our house I had wondered why the bathroom tiles had a layer of fine white dust over them but figured I'd have fun cleaning them up and they'd look fantastic. Well, the reason for the dust is because they'd put a fine layer of grout over the whole of the tiles which lined every wall right to the ceiling, to disguise the fact it was all moldy underneath and they had come apart from the wall, so it was purely aesthetic. When I washed the walls I realised that it was all moldy and the tiles started to crack and then they fell off the wall in chunks of 10 tiles and more at a time, it was horrendous and so upsetting that people could be so dodgy

More like your old self ♥ Thank you for taking us on a tour of your fabulous home and good on you for not overextending yourself by filling it up with all new furniture etc but still making it your own. It goes to show how powerful goal setting can be! I'm so happy for you that you're setting new goals and are open to opportunities that may present. If it all went haywire, I had my base to return to and prepare for the next adventure. I'm off on a grey nomad adventure around beautiful Tassie later in the year. I can't wait to get back there - even if I'm camping this time. I've not camped since I was a Girl Guide but I figure thousands of grey nomads live this way so why not give it a try. I still like to challenge my myself! Congratulations on your 100th Vlog. Such a milestone especially on top of a business that already keeps you well and truly out of mischief. The day I got my keys I walked in and burst into tears. It was disgusting. I emptied the dyson 15 times that weekend. Dirty, poop on floor in bathroom. A loft and garage full of their stuff and junk. 3 sheds full. Live wires in the garden and my kids were little then. So I can see where your coming from. I had to rip up the carpet as it stunk. We didn't replace them until the big jobs were done 3 years later🙈. So don't feel bad about getting things done 😝
