"Every scrap of you would be taken from me" kills me everytime I hear it.

Everytime she performs this on the Eras Tour, the crowd lights up their phones. And that's all the lights you see are from the phones and they give her a prolonged applause which made Taylor cry at times. She appreciates that the crowd appreciates the song also. Thanks you so much.

The creepy part is that fans now hold up photos of Marjorie… I guess they’re trying to make Taylor emotional but it’s just so sick trying to make her cry 🤦♀️

That only happened one night in Nashville, and one possibly good intentioned, but over zealous fan brought dozens of prints of a photo of Taylor’s grandmother. Hopefully nobody else will try that. I saw her in Philly, and only phone lights, including from the outside parking lot listeners.

"We all sing the same song. She sings it for us, but we all sing it". Well said, Ryan!

Both of her grandparents seen here where going through cancer. She was 13 when she died not sure about the grandpa, but she would go to the hospital and play quitar and sing for them in their room after school. In the "Wildest Dream" video she looks just like her grandma with her dark hair. She was 14 when she got her record deal.

Tears every time I hear Marjorie 😊 I think about how proud Marjorie would be for Taylor achieving her dreams and becoming the most famous songwriter. I also wanted to add I’m so grateful The Swifts always had a video camera rolling.

My partner went to the TS eras tour in Houston and he told me that was his favorite song on the tour ❤I was pleasantly surprised.

Beautiful song. I loved the lyric video - and the production for the Eras Tour is incredible. The fact that the bracelets don’t light up during the song but fans now lift up their phone flashlights in tribute of Majorie and the loved ones that fans have lost is just a beautiful moment.

this song is from evermore! The one about her grandfather “epiphany” is from folklore

Thank you guys for this reaction. Marjorie did pass on her musicality and beauty to Taylor. This song is a very good tribute to her by Taylor and I love it!

I adore Marjorie, it's my favorite song from Evermore. I also so happy that thanks to The Eras Tour more people are now listening and appreciate Marjorie. At the first show many people were like "why would Taylor include that song in the set list" and now, every night the whole stadium screams that song in such an emotional and beautiful way.

4:55 what you hear in the background is actually the voice of Marjorie doing operah that taylor gave the recordings to jack to use somehow, and he did that! so amazing!

Yay! This is one of my favorite songs from Evermore! Hopefully you know the backstory before listening to it. If not, I can fill you in. 😁

Ryan, you speak to Maddy in baby-talk, and she look at you in a condescending way. You are in such trouble when she turns 10, lol She is adorable and she knows it. She took control of two grown men and had to end their video- she understands the assignment of being a woman at her age. Her mother is obviously doing an awesome job raising her 🙂

I'm so glad you guys reacted to this one; it makes me bawl every time. It's so true that we don't ask enough questions, value and appreciate and learn from our grandparents enough while we have them; the maturity necessary to reach that realization often isn't attained until after they're gone. One of my favorite lines is "Your closet of backlogged dreams and how you left them all to me." Taylor explained in an interview that her grandmother did indeed leave a closet full of dresses from the 1960s that she has performed in as an opera singer, a career cut short by marriage and family. Those backlogged dreams also inherited by Taylor, and while she was playing guitar and piano and writing songs before her grandmother's death, it was only after her passing that her family moved to Nashville. By playing this song every night of the Eras tour, Taylor is finally giving her grandmother the worldwide fame she dreamed of during her life. And now I'm crying again.

Well, I’ll be darned. Taylor’s grandmother and I share the same name! I’m pretty sure I’m the last one under the age of 60 🤣🤣 It was my grandmothers name too💖
