These are her stories, but they are relatable because she is human just like us. Sometimes there is a deeper meaning and some are a big f u to those who have hurt her, and knowing the context of certain songs gives the song a deeper meaning, letting you know what she is talking about. Like "my tears ricochet" knowing it is about her record label and nothing else you are understanding her story and her pain.

'Bad Blood' was originally about Katy Perry because they had been good friends & then Katy stole some of Taylor's backup dancers. Eventually, Katy sent Taylor a literal olive branch & an apology note & they made up. In fact, Katy does a cameo at the end of Taylor's video for You need to calm down', showing they are 'back together again'. Katy even went to see Taylor's Era's tour a month or so ago. And I'm enjoying this journey too. I knew 'teen' Taylor & all her sweet country songs. This is a badass woman & as the mother of 2 daughters, 6 granddaughters & 2 great granddaughters, I am here for it. She is a wonderful talent, with a gift for writing & she is an excellent example for all young women. Girl power. So if you search up Vigilante Shit reputation tour, you're not going to find anything. The live version you should react to is from the Eras Tour. And for context of Vigilante Shit, because you WILL want to know, it was written for a terrible man by the name of Scooter Braun who conspired with her ex record label to buy her entire discography. Scooter Braun (was) the manager for major acts like Justin Beiber, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato and Idina Menzel. He is notorious for being a horrible manager and working his talent to the bone so he gets richer. Taylor told her ex record label manager Scott Borchetta, who she was very close with for over 15 years, that she did not want her works sold to that man out of everyone. They did a deal behind her back and sold her catalogue for $300 mill. If you also want to know how Taylor felt about it all, the betrayal, there's a song called My Years Ricochet that was written for Scott Borchetta that I think you'd enjoy. It's still savage Taylor, just sadder musically because she truly loved Scott and looked up to him as a father figure. Back to Scooter Braun, his deviousness made Taylor so angry she went back and rerecorded all her music to devalue the catalogue he owned. Not long after his purchase, he entered legal trouble, was divorced by his wife, dropped by most of his clients, and currently is under investigation from the FBI for financial crimes. Vigilante Shit talks about alllll of this. Sorry for the novel lol thought you'd like the backstory.

Scott Borchetta of Big Machine Records offered her that for every new album she would receive one old one back. Taylor left after her contract was up, I think that is why Scott sold to Scooter Braun, Scott knew Taylor hated Scooter, so that was like a punch to the stomach. She knew Scott was going to sell, she just didn't know to who. Scooter bought it under Ithaca Holdings which he owns.
