I suggested this and I am so happy it touched you as much as it does me every time I watch it. They went straight into “Family Affair” after “Doubt”. I agree that the original song is really beautiful. My favorite albums from Mary are “Growing Pains” and “No More Drama” (of course!). I just love true artists who make meaningful music. In that, Taylor and MJ are alike. Thanks for doing this one! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I love the respect Taylor gave her by singing mainly back up and then not at all to let Mary shine. And one reason she , and the rest of us are drawn to Travis is he can be a beast on the field and he shows emotions and cries. We love Mary J.

Why tf did Travis even need to be brought into this conversation?? He wasn’t even around. He loves to be the center of attention where Taylor appreciates and respects her guests enough to let them shine. Travis is still “LOOK AT ME!” Cmon. This was an amazing show and there’s only two people who should be talked about. Sounds like you have a thing for the guy and just have to bring him in to literally every thing Taylor does. He’s done nothing to help nor promote her. She’s brought his worth up in every aspect of his life. What has he done that has helped ELEVATE her?? Being on HER stage elevated HIM. He has done NOTHING to help her in any way. It’s just so apparent that this is what’s happening and you can’t even say “Taylor and Mary J were amazing together.” PERIOD. FULL STOP.

@@gdhaney136Yes it was incredible to see his daughter receive the “22” hat and have Taylor say that she loves her. It’s beautiful to see that she’s still involved with their lives. He was a wonderful, kind and generous man.

@@NYandAZ well, good morning to you too! He seemed to feel self conscious about becoming emotional, mentioned being an alpha, and since it was a Taylor Swift video not only did her future Hall of Fame boyfriend come to mind but his brother Jason as well. I follow sports and they often get emotional on their podcast. They are giant pro footballing men who are known to shed tears easily. Taylor is proud of him and he supports her which doesn’t take anything away from the legend Mary J, so no sinister motives, just positivity was meant. Have a great day.

Taylor is fangirling over Mary J! Respectfully singing backup for her. That is an artist who enjoys REAL musicians and who has no interest in always trying to take the center of attention. That’s not Taylor. She WANTS to uplift others on her stage. There were actually 2 songs that they did that night. I love that Taylor gave such a respectful voice on stage and on the video. Mary J deserves every bit of acknowledgment that she gets. No 🧢! Taylor & Mary J =💖

OMG! I just got done chiding someone for a black male doing a reaction to a white pop artist and was upset. I asked her how she would feel for a white man to react to Beyonce. That we should open our eyes, our mind and our listening to all music regardless of race. I am an older while female who enjoys some of Kendricks music. Jay Z's Empire State of Mind is one of my very favorite songs. Love love love Beyonce. I have loved artists on all sides of the street including latin American. If a song appeals to me it appeals. Don't care. And speaking of opening the mind, I have not checked yet if you saw these videos but, Taylor does a video with Kendrick and one with Future. This is an artist that expands her genres and tastes. So many still see her as the teen singing country pop. They don't realize the lady grew up and matured as well as her music.
