Taylor Tomlinson, 30, insanely talented, skyrocketing career, beloved by all: I'm 30; I feel like it's over. Me, 44, eating kimchee out of the jar and a pocketful of Mike and Ikes with let's face it, a generous amount of lint on them: Yeah, you should probably pack it in and give up.

@@kornklown420 she does a late night show, which she has writers for. Making the transition to late night is very hard to do, and most comedians fail. It’s not a dig at Taylor.. she’s great, and I’m happy for her success. But the show hasn’t hit its stride, the writing could be a bit better, and Taylor has been digging deep putting together 2 specials since Quarter life crisis. It’s hard to generate that kind of quality content indefinitely. I think she has a rough patch in front of her, and hope she can take it in stride. Which I’m sure she will.

The title kind of sums it up - when I turned 30 I thought it was all over. 40 really messed me up. 50..... NOW I'm enjoying myself. Won't lie - only found Taylor via the Colbert show, but now I watch After Midnight whenever I can. She has that "Chatting to a girl in the pub" vibe. Yes, it helps that she's pretty, but its more about the personality. And as I mentioned - the "we're talking over a table" vibe makes it better. Half my age and twice as wise....

LOL! I was thinking exactly this today. I think the lesson is: you're never too old, but that's no reason to put off doing everything right now. It bugs me that I'm the same age as old people though. 😞.......vitamins and E45 creame baby.

Two of my favorite comedians! And well-deserved praise coming from Conan. IM(NS)HO, Taylor Tomlinson is THE comedian of her generation. She doesn't punch. 100% of her material is not only funny... people personally relate to it. It gives them (I think) an access to deal with their own baggage... and I think there's a lot to be said for that. And she's a master of nuance... inflection, facial cues, posturing. ("Oh... so I'm a WITCH!" and "All I heard was 'Gryffindor'!"... #chefskiss)

Looking forward to the day when Taylor gets a true talk show, where she talks to guests more informally than in the format of her current show. I believe an interview type show is better for her persona, and she would really shine. I'd like to see her just sitting having a coffee with her guests talking and joking about whatever comes up.

Mitch Robbins from "City Slickers": Value this time in your life kids, because this is the time in your life when you still have your choices, and it goes by so quickly. When you're a teenager you think you can do anything, and you do. Your twenties are a blur. Your thirties, you raise your family, you make a little money and you think to yourself, "What happened to my twenties?" Your forties, you grow a little pot belly you grow another chin. The music starts to get too loud and one of your old girlfriends from high school becomes a grandmother. Your fifties you have a minor surgery. You'll call it a procedure, but it's a surgery. Your sixties you have a major surgery, the music is still loud but it doesn't matter because you can't hear it anyway. Seventies, you and the wife retire to Fort Lauderdale, you start eating dinner at two, lunch around ten, breakfast the night before. And you spend most of your time wandering around malls looking for the ultimate in soft yogurt and muttering "how come the kids don't call?" By your eighties, you've had a major stroke, and you end up babbling to some Jamaican nurse who your wife can't stand but who you call mama. Any questions?
