Sean, I hit 200K this year too. I enjoy your channel. I've listened to alot of KZbinrs and learned a lot (Chris, Rockstar, Tornado...), but I appreciate your content because: - I'm just looking for someone to hang out with and chat (one way) while im doing my thing - Not a lot of people understand resellers, so your conversations actually hit the spot - You don't complain a lot (KZbinr complainers lose my attention quick, that's 99% of them) - You appreciate your business for what it is You're eBay coffee talk is on point. thank you! I'm hoping that small pivots set you on exponential growth in 2024.

Hey Sean, great work this past year! I don't do any social media -- no YT, no affiliates and I only have one coaching client that's been with me a long time so my energy is focused on just reselling. I resold my first items in 2004 & have been a full-time thrifted clothing reseller since Feb 2012. In 2023, I sold $316k and my profit was $120k. My plan for 2024 is to start crossposting to Poshmark and I hope to grow my business 25% YOY -- cheers!

Love the honesty! Reselling can look like an easy way to make money, but the caveat should be “some money” with a lot of time and effort. I always wonder how many people decide to try reselling and actually hang in there long enough to figure out what they’re doing and actually make a profit.

From my experience, if you plan to use that car for more than about 5 years, you should consider starting with the cost on a per mile basis rather than trying to use actual cost and depreciation. Actual cost plus depreciation will get you a little higher deduction in the first few years, but they once you get around year 5 or 6 you deduction drops way off and you can't switch from one method to the other, you are stuck with actual cost until you get a new car. Congratulations on hard work this year.
