Thanks. I went through two sets of M2's (faces denting on 4-7, second set after 6 rounds) so TM has warrantied them. They offered M1, CGB or 790's and I chose the P790. They should arrive shortly. Ever thought about comparing clubs from the 1970's to todays offerings?

I was deciding between these two clubs until I saw the price...but I am new to golf (30 handicap)and have a much lighter budget. Managed to score a set 4-pw of M1 irons for under $350. So far, they are vastly outperforming the Wilson D100 irons I had before. The results so far have only been on a simulator. Going to brave the cold and go out this week. Biggest difference was going from regular flex to stiff though toe hits still go pretty darn far and straight. Only time and practice will tell how well they will work for me.

I am about to buy a set of M-1’s but worried about all the face cave in problems. I am currently deciding between Callaway APEX CF 16’s or M-1’s. Any suggestions which would be a better buy? Where I live there is no way of shipping back m-1’s for repair. Thanks for any help...

Why do you make my life difficult? I was just about to buy the M1 because it gives me a lovely high ball flight and stops quickly, but I really prefer the look of the P790s. I am going to have to try them

So basically identical on paper, but the p790s are double the price. What justifies the extra cost? perhaps workability...draws and fades easier than M1? Help, please!

tortelvis1 workability for sure. Also the P790 is a forged iron and feels ridiculously soft. Hit them both and you will know y they cost what they do. I scored a 3-pw set today at the nj golf show for $899!! Lol

Sorry I wasn’t questioning the accuracy, the video shows how good your swing is. More that those speeds are PGA tour level whilst us mid handicappers who might choose those clubs are probably closer to 75mph. (LPGA avg,) so the quality of the golfer may affect the comparison.

I'm in the market for clubs as well, and was between p770, z765 or the mizuno 900 forged. I thought the p770 felt the best but now I want to try the p790s. Are these clubs workable or just a game improvement iron?

Good hitting. Proves to me, yet again, that Taylor made make a club that's not truly required. Forgiveness looked the same, nearly all data identical. One forged but not a real 'mizuno' forged. Titleist bring out clubs every 2 years or so...if only TMAG did the same.

+Garry Grant I disagree, if I was buying I'd easily choose the P790 based on looks and feel. In my eyes, two different clubs aimed at two different golfers
