Recently got my P790's. Dont be concerned about stopping power. WOW! I hit my 7,8,9 and P on the green and stops perfectly. Even better than my last clubs. These clubs are a game changer for me. The 2 rounds that ive used them have been great. I have been hitting them slightly left so Im trying to figure out why, when I usually like to fade the ball, but im a noob (1.5 years of golf).

Interesting to see those spin numbers as some other tubers have had issues with low spin. When I hit the i500 the other day I got enough spin to stop the ball. My concern is that even the i500 will be difficult to gap moving down in the set. Some kind of loft change required to sort out gaps between 7i and PW. Possibly strengthen the 8-PW and add a 50 deg gap W. Don't think the retro loft is a good idea as the 7i already launches like a rocket. Loved the feel of them tho compared to my current ping i20's

P790 works great for me. It did take some getting used to the different distances, but I think I've got them figured out. :-)

Nice vid, but playing the TM 790´s i think testing in this way isnt giving the right info. With iron´s i have to hit a certain distance and to hit about 180 you would hit a 8 iron from TM instead of a 7. More spin, steeper descent angle and stopping quickly. Comming from titleist AP2 i now hit two irons less into greens...

Hi I’ve purchased the 2019 P790’s. I totally disagree these irons go the right distances and have adequate spin on greens. In actual fact when comparing with my mate with i500’s these tend to jump off the face with low spin.

Interesting H2H, but I was slightly confused with some of the numbers you got. The launch monitor clearly showed the Ping flying higher, yet the launch angle, Peak height and descent angle numbers were virtually the same? The only number that differed significantly was the Spin number. So did the lower spin of the TM flatten out its flight, where as the Ping`s extra spin ballooned slightly??

Agree, cant really follow the argumentation. I500 flying higher.. disagree, numbers same. Decent Angle 1 dergree difference is nothing.. Spin and Length are obviously the only difference. Do I need that distance... nope.. do I enjoy hitting 85% swingspeed and gaining 92% distance or around that... abso++ckinglootly

Interesting video, with some great stuff! Since you're a newer content creator I hope you don't mind some minor critiques. First if you want to seriously create some videos invest in a little better equipment. A GoPro and a couple of tripods (low and tall) make a huge difference in video quality. It doesn't need to be the newest model for better performance either. Second get a decent clip on mic (spend less than 60 initially and even record audio on your phone rather than to a dedicated device). With those two little changes your product will seem much more polished and you'll gain subscribers from just that. Cheers, and good luck!

Would prefer consistency and stopping power. It's all about distance and ball speed af the minute. I have P790 and the distance is too hard to control

I dont get it. Why do the manufacturers want us to hit 7i 200 yards. What's the strategy? Are these clubs for golfers who can't hit far? I simply dont get it. Why not hit 6i and 5i then?

It's all pointless if you want a 7 iron to go as far as a 6 iron or 5 iron then hit a 6 iron or 5 iron that's why we have all different clubs in the bag, if you want more distance then work on your swing speed that will give you more distance.

104mph club head speed with a 7iron! I don't get it... I swing low 90's once I loosened up. I just don't get how to increase the club head speed. Perhaps you can explain a bit on your swing thoughts.

Yeah wanna compete in long drive next year so why my swing speed has jumped up recently. tour averages are about 90 - 95 ish but there not looking to kill it and probs could swing it just as fast.

To be honest a lot of gym work has helped me ramp up my speed, only issue with more Clubhead speed is larger dispersion, depends what your goals are 👍
