On my SVX I replace the coil on plug, to a MSD wire on plug, and remote mounted the coil packs on each side, it's kinda easy when you figure out what type of coil wire type you have 2,3,4 wire and all I did was wire them in series with the igniter

No need to jack up the motor to do coils. Just pull that big filter and the washer bottle. If you disconnect the battery, you have to re-learn closed loop fuel trims all over again... Glad it was an actual quick fix. My standard boosted subaru troubleshooting is to pressure-test the manifold and then stare at wideband logs to see if any fueling is off.

I would HIGHLY recommend gapping those plugs down to .025, possibly slightly tighter. Spark blowout is definitely an issue with stock coil packs. And use a vice, definitely don't tap the iridiums or you risk hurting them

I have an 03 wrx and it's doing the exact same thing!! But mines exclusively under full throttle I can make 18psi of boost and not break up but if it's full throttle occasionally it'll break up. I was saving up for coilpacks but now I'm gonna check that sensor!! Great video man!

in regards to simple fixes, ill tell you a funny story: 2 weekends ago i changed my rangers front drivers side axle with a new one. there was no more clunking noise coming from it, i was so happy. then recently i noticed a clicking noise coming from that same side. i figured it was the axle and my work days are long and after work i just dont feel like working on the truck and i was hoping it would last the week til the weekend. coming friday morning, im driving to work and the noise is getting worse. i got to the parking garage and took a look and it had nothing to do with the axle. IDK if i didnt torque the wheel enough or what (i know i torqued the wheel down because i torqued the axle nut at the same time) but 2 of my 5 lug nuts sheared off and 3 of them were coming loose. luckily i carried a tire iron and a pipe with me at all times and so i cranked the 3 back down tight and no more clicking noise. JFC

My old volvo was a 940 turbo wagon, about 350hp... hydroplaned and wrapped it around a tree and broke my femur and arm and yeah... 3 years later I am working again and have an opportunity to buy a 5-speed turbo awd 850, with upgraded type R turbo, and other type R upgrade components, N/A camshafts, ecu remap, full cold air...but it needs the head rebuilt.. So I buy it, get it rebuilt and get port and polish done with upgraded valves..put it back together and they find a hairline crack in a cylinder...order a new block, the people I ordered from sent me an N/A block...I'm in canada so it's hard to find the blocks for a good price. Finally found a block but now I need new rods...I will likely order forged rods, but dont have the cash for forged pistons.. but pistons should be fine, it's the rods that are no good past 400hp... Anyways, I've had the car for 5 months and have not got to drive it, and have spent several thousand on it already lol. But the stick shift awd 850 is a rare car...so it's hard to stop haha

Taylor all Ben needs to do for trans pop out is replace the RINGS on the sychros thats it. those are what hold it in gear.. and you should know better than to not replace the throw out bearing while it was already out and in view lol... The driveshaft issue abs and non abs lengths are different so you gotta know which you have and need for schassis. Think the abs ones are shorter like the one you got.

What kind of motor is in there? I have an EJ205 in my bugeye and I only have to remove battery, washer fluid reservoir, and air box to get to my coils and plugs, no jacking up the engine. Also, on those older EJ engines. They use a Diamond FKD0333 (originally) and that coil is no longer made by diamond. The ones you get from the dealer are still Diamonds but they are an updated part number that has longer dwell time. Not sure exactly the difference in dwell time but you may need a tune after putting those coils in
