Best thing when operating your own boat, is that everytime something's not working and you figure it out yourself, you learn from it. And somewhere down the line, you end up being awsome at everything. Best of luck, Taylor. Some Day I'll subscribe to yet another sailing Chanel... And it will be Taylor's Travels, I quess. 🙈😁

You are a very intelligent, resourceful, and technically savvy Person, combine that, with your phone and internet interaction, YOU CAN work through everything thrown your way! No one in this day and age should have self doubts or a feeling of being alone while exploring their adventures. You Got This Girl!

Well said @rickeh100 When me and my 12 year old son go out and something less fortunate happens, I echo the same to him. It's not a problem but an opportunity for a solution and a learning experience in good conditions rather than in bad. The more we experience now means the better we are prepared in the future. The same applies to Taylor. We have broken a rudder, had a main sheet/sail get stuck halfway, had a jib furling line break, tiller break, etc. all under way. All just took a moment of centering our minds to the task at hand and finding a solution.
@BradColemanisHere3 жыл бұрын
Congrats on your first solo day! I gotta tell ya Taylor, this is your best video yet. No only is it well presented, but your problem solving skills shine through. Way to take in some input, know what problem you're solving, and add that to your list of helpful skills to have! Also, that view is serene.

Tips from a long time single-hander on raising the anchor: Give the engine a shot of forward and then go to neutral and run up to the bow and take in the slack on the chain with the windless. As soon as there is any resistance, stop. Let the boat drift back on the chain so the chain is straight off the bow. Repeat the program. This may take 5 or 6 tries if it is windy or if there is a lot of current, but it works every time. You're doing it!!

You have probably heard it a million times. Here's one more. You are a stunning, natural beauty. What makes your beauty even more special is your personality. Your willingness to grab life by the horns and do it YOUR way. Some people live their whole life wanting to and dreaming about sailing their own boat.
