I realized I was done with relationships after my divorce, that I initiated. I'll forego the details but, it did make me realize something important. And the feelings I got when I divorced was not a nervous breakdown or even sadness, it was relief and the feeling of a huge weight being taken off me. And I was thankful I got off relatively lightly compared to other relationships in my past. The dollar cost of the divorce was high, I gave her around $15,000 or 20,000 over time, but the emotional cost was even higher - and I was very glad when it was all over. And this made me realize, relationships were certainly NOT worth the mental and financial agony when I was literally, just comparing them based on the devastation they inflicted on my life. My grandmother's generation (and my mother's), if she expected to marry, a woman had to be accomplished, it was on her to be able to paint (as in on canvas, portraits, bowls of fruit etc.), play piano, sing, cook, sew (not just a button on, complete clothing for themselves and their family) knit, cook (five, count them, five meals a day she was feeding men engaged in hard physical work, breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, tea (dinner) and when shearing was on this could be for ten men). While there was division of labour, it was expected that the women pitched in with improving family finances. On top of running the house, my grandmother raised pigs, my mother chickens both for meat and eggs (I'm from a farm if you can't tell) if the paddock work demanded the women went out and helped in the field and by the same token if there was too much on in the house the men would also pitch in. Everybody worked all the time, up early and into the night if circumstances demanded e.g. harvest. Also, both my sets of grandparents raised families in the great depression so their homes were surrounded by fruit trees and don't forget the vegetable patch. These "women" are first and foremost lazy, they expect, nay demand, that their life be "fabulous" without them lifting a finger, no, no it won't.

You nailed it. They want all the results and none of the work. They can't even boil chicken or microwave mac and cheese. Its pathetic! All my soups are frim scratch. Pasta, meatballs, sausage, from scratch, wood fired pizza and steak, Turkey's, hams, roasts, roasted chicken, pork loins, cutlets, roasted veggies, salmon. Top notch charcuterie. All from scratch, huge cast iron collection and my own recipes, I pride myself on that $hit! Not only do I cook better than any woman out there and better than any 4 star restaurant, not only saving money, but giving entertainment and value. Most chicks today want something in 20 minutes so they can watch their damn Netflix and chill instead of learning something, again its pathetic!
