Plant mom here! ~Try to keep your plants in one spot, limit moving them around ~ never leave them in the plastic pot that they come in, repot them and use a miracle grow type of soil ~ I water mine once a week, every Sunday(all 35 of them 😀)….so maybe pick a day, set a reminder & try to be consistent. You can also add plant food to the water once a month or so

I was a professional pastry chef for over a decade and yeah… there’s absolutely no reason to not use box mix lol. Also, your pothos is probably just being dramatic. Leave her in one spot for at least a couple weeks and see how she reacts, THEN try to move her. I successfully kept a pothos alive for 2 years in a bathroom without even watering it, so I’m sure she’ll bounce back. 😊

Dark paints tend to look much richer when done in a matte finish. I have done tons of painting over the 30 years of home ownership and I typically doe egg shell but this last time I painted I did deep rich colors and matte was the way to go 100%! the light doesnt bounce off so no glares it just looks lux and rich.

I HIGHLY recommend painting your accent wall in a flat paint finish! With the darker colors, it looks a lot more chic. We have friends who painted their room the same color as ours, but with even the slightest shine, it looks sooo different. Much prefer the flat finish.

My pothos lives in the opposite conditions lol. Dry air, watered once a month or when I see the leaves drooping. But it’s just a regular one from Walmart, idk the kind. I have to keep cutting it back and making babies or throwing them away. Unfortunately, my prayer plant absolutely hates my lack of humidity and is probs going to die.

They are so low maintenance. Literally can let them droop before you water. I have a feeling she may overwater her plants. Got to let most of them dry out before watering again. Go by how the soil feels (moist or dry) not a particular schedule.

Get a humidity meter for your plants that will help from over or under watering. Pick a stop and keep them in one place for at least 10 days to see if they are happy. Moving them too much can kill them. POTHOS are very happy being root bound and it’s already stressed so I’d definitely wait to repot.

The sample size will be nice for any touch ups you need to do but don't want to bring out the whole can. Plus, if you do any DIY furniture flipping and you want to carry the color to another space. Other tip from an old Home Depot paint department employee, eggshell finish is a good room option. If you go shinier you will have more durability against humidity and cleaning your walls will be much easier. If you go to a paint desk at any home improvement store (and likely a paint store) you'll see little guides for what sheen (matte/satin/eggshell/semi-gloss/high-gloss) would work best based on what room you are painting and whether or not you are using the paint on a baseboard.

That pothos plant looks like it needs more water!! They can handle low light/need less water without sun but it sounds like it’s getting quite a bit of sun so maybe up your watering and see if that helps 💚 you can also pluck off any dried/dead looking leaves so the plant focuses its energy on the healthy leaves 🍃 😊

Some of my pothos are more finicky than others. They don't like too much sun and they don't like too little or too much water. They hate to be moved. But the ones my husband has in vases of filtered water are super easy and don't mind being moved. Plants have their own personalities.

Pothos love bright indirect light they don’t like direct light. They even do well more shaded they just don’t grow as fast. They love to be watered when they’ve dried out so you have to sorta watch them. When the top is dried out you give them a cup or so of water. Zz plants say they grow best in bright light but they grow amazing in shade and they like drought. Mine has gone crazy in a shaded area and is huge. They only like to be watered every 2-3 weeks a cup of water if you water too much they’ll rot and die. I have both plants and I’ve found that works. Hope it helps!!❤️
@sarahstatt12424 ай бұрын
Also if you move them around a lot you can shock them and they get upset and react so it’s best to leave them in one spot! They like a pot that is no more than 2 inches bigger and you can upsize the plastic it comes in too to help with repotting.
