I felt that! I speak English, Spanish, Hebrew, and a bit of French and German. About 10 years ago I had a stroke, and got all of my languages mixed up. When I can't think of a word my brain automatically jumps to another language and fills it in. It's like I have my own version of Esperanto. It can be funny at times, but most of the time it just confuses people until I can find the words to clear up what I was trying to say.

Throughout Brazil, we call them IRARA. It may be its most common popular name throughout the area where it occurs. They are as common as well-preserved forests, then... they became rare. Due to such divergences, the name Eira barbara is not merely "pernostic" as many think, because it serves to disambiguate. And it's also a cool name, Eira barbara... Congratulations and thank you for the beautiful video!

Many years ago I visited the Pantanal in Brazil. While out walking, a friend and I briefly spotted a creature "looping" (sort of a high curving hop) through the high grass in an open space in the woods. Because I'd never even known that "tayra even existed, it took several days afterward to identify it on a wildlife poster. What a lucky sighting!

I saw these little cuties in person for the first time in a safari park in Texas one December. They're interesting creatures, and it's also funny that their color scheme is kinda like that of a sun bear despite both being unrelated. Tayras and sun bears are both black-furred with orange throat patches and slightly wrinkly foreheads.

08:40 Did you cover gibbons at any time? I can't find a video. Everybody is always talking about the handful of species of Great Apes, but there is suprisingly few videos or even info on most gibbon species. You'll occasionally find a Siamang in a zoo or maybe 1 or 2 other species, but most of them seem to fly under the radar for most people, despite this family containing some of the rarest and also apparently the (excluding humans) most numerous species of apes or even monkeys in general.

In my country we call that a Highwoods Dog. However we know them more than meat eaters than anything else. It is recommended that if you see one in the forest a mile away from a village you must alert everyone you can cause livestock will disappear in the coming weeks. He can run, climb and swim really well. It is said the only thing he can't do is fly.
