The fact you wrote a song that was funny to me as a child but extremely deep and moving to me as an adult is incredible. i've known for years at this point that this song is actually about racism, and i agree with every poignant sentiment in it, but... the video's still so funny. the extremely yellow visuals, the way you absolutely don't expect a voice that deep to escape from his mouth, him moving away to breathe, the way it takes an entire minute and a half for the camera angle to change, the way you keep waiting for a chorus but it never comes... every detail of this is a magical time capsule
