🙏 Thank you SHIELDSY for your Buy Me A Coffee donation. Anyone, tell me one thing that you liked about this song?

Appreciate your respectful and thoughtful reaction. You may recognise the name Yunupingu? Dr Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu? (I only use his name here because his family gave permission after he died so that his musical gift would live on as people like your good self found his stories and his song lines) Australia, just like in the USA & so many other nations, is conflicted when we don't acknowledge the harm done by colonisation. And, that they refused to teach the truth of our history in schools for over 100 years means the truth is difficult to accept for so many non indigenous Australians. We were taught that colonising Britons lifted Aboriginal people up. The truth is they were beaten down As so often happens throughout history, it is the artists that find a way to teach a different view on the curated ideals of those who want the past, history, to favour them To dive deeper, may I respectfully suggest you dive into music from Midnight Oil (please go beyond "Beds Are Burning," there is so much more depth,) and also Archie Roach ("Took The Children Away") Briggs, Tiddas, Warumpi Band

Hi Tazzz. I love this, with authentic Didgeridoo and dance. This was released in 1991. Where did that time go? This band was from the Northern Territory.

I graduated high school in 1989, so I know alllllllll about wondering where that time went. 🤔. Thanks for popping in, and commenting. That didgeridoo is an awesome sound. ~ Tazzz ~

Great song. I’d like to recommend Archie Roach sing Walking into doors.

This was a good song for awareness and protest but the remixes are better for listening to as music. Also Djapana (Sunset Dreaming) is a much better song. Also Dots on the Shells (the version from the tv) is another great song.
