I had a 2017 MKZ 3.0 twin turbo AWD, it was ridiculously powerful and unassuming. It was a lot of fun and I loved the styling of it.

The FWD MKZ with the 3.0T is detuned and makes 350 HP and 400 TQ which is still insane. The AWD version gets 400 Hp and 400 TQ

Almost all the 3.0l are AWD not FWD. My buddy has a black label which gives it a lot of comfort features as well as better differentials. And you forgot to mention how amazing the magnetic ride suspension feels on these. Keeps it flat in the corners but is super comfy.

I'm pretty sure it's AWD not FWD. There is a FWD but the 400 HP MKZ is AWD. The MKS is a TT Eco as well with 360ish HP. I got my wife the TT AWD Lincoln. It's nice but you def have to tune it and fuck around with it. Has some noticeable turbo lag at times. The main downside is the lack of mod support and, it becomes problematic once you start reaching higher HP. We got the wife's to 435HP and I use it to kill unsuspecting cars all the time. Usually base model BMW, Acuras and V6 Mopars are the ones that try it the most. I think they look at it as easy prey but end up embarrassed and getting off the hwy early when I slow to see their face.

@@montanatru for sure. If it was FWD with 400HP, that torque steer would be punishing. I drove my buddies 07 Monte SS FWD back when I was younger and that shit was not that fun at high speeds. The Impala SS around that year was the same. It can move but, wasn't pleasant

Agreed! You have to swap out parts from the Z06, ZR1, ZL1, or SS and modify them to fit correctly. The MKs strong but its mod market is weak! Ditto on dialing in tuning reliability but it can be a true sleeper... not many out there!

@@wihe2079 yeah that's where our problems started. I did a few mods but after a few basic bolt ons I was like, what the heck do I do now. The few forums I found spoke of the same thing you're stating, having to alter parts for other cars to fit it. I struggled to even find options for a cat back exhaust. There's a few axle backs but, didn't seem worth it. She wasn't too pleased with the shit I did to it either at first. She's come around now. It def is a sleeper and one I'm shocked younger ppl don't look into. Does have that old ppl stigma but, an MKS or MKZ W/370-400 HP with loaded interior,great sound system & a smooth ass drive for under 20K, sometimes even under 12K is a mega bargain

I love fwd cars kinda all i grew up with but my fave is a pontiac grand prix gtp coupe in 99' right after they displayed the GPX which was a 1 off with 300hp later renamed GTP 275 hp factory easily modifiable to 500hp. The 3800 from the buick was made into the FWD platform. If it would have been given the F40 trans it would have been legendary!

The eco boost SHO is the only Ford I ever wanted. Before covid I wasn't in the right state of bank but I'm pissed I didn't hop on one I saw with low miles for $9k. Plus you mixed it up. The base models that came with the turbo 4 were FWD, turbo V6 SHO and MKZ were AWD

They were late on the both the MKz and the SHO. I believe Yamaha helped Ford on these heads as well (like previous SHO motors). Awd, 3.0 TT, with a decent suspension is a great recipe for a fun street car! A to B fast and tight! Lol. Too bad they were late on this one, I think more would’ve been sold with the sport packages.

A royal purple and my newer Dodge truck. When I pull it out of the truck, I put it in my 48 Plymouth. I run it for another 3000 miles in the Plymouth when I do an oil change on the Plymouth. I save it and I use it for all of the small engines that I rebuild like lawnmowers and Whatnot. But then again, everybody has their own opinion and there’s only three major oil manufacturers from the continental United States and two of them around by marathon, so yeah, I’ll stick with what works for me. You stick with what’s worth for you and don’t always believe scientific data that is done by the company that is producing the product because they’re always gonna show that their stuff is better

Thats cool I got a 2010 MKS with the 3.5 twin turbo. Basically havecdone everything i can do to the thing othervthan bigger turbos. Its got about 460hp and 520 foot pounds of torque (at the crank never had it at a dyno yet) it makes for a great sleeper.

They have one that's almost identical to this. The fusion sport. Only available in 2017 I believe. It's a 2.7 V6 twin turbo and AWD. A lot more aftermarket available products as well vs the MKZ. Similar to the Taurus SHO with the exception very little people know about the fusion sport.
