Homeschooling is definitely investing everything into your kids rather than yourself or your career. It is a life well lived with great purpose and absolutely no regrets 💜

Please share some tips , I would love to do that , but I don’t know where to start . Since I don’t work, my budget is tight.

Homeschooling is VERY rewarding! As hard as it is, it's worth it! I enjoyed homeschooling my youngest son! Two older children went to Christian school.
@suzum.97132 жыл бұрын
Home-schooled since 1999. Had nine children. Taught as many as 8 at a time. Now I have just a 17 and 16 yr old to finish teaching. (!!!!!) Oh, what an adventure! Could I have done better? Of course. Do I regret it? Not at all.
@crosstamedheart99132 жыл бұрын
So true. I find with homeschool I realize I am constantly teaching even when I'm not trying. My very presence and love seems to project him lengths and bounds beyond most kids with confidence, identity, direction and critical thinking. These seem to be what the kids these day lack the most..leading to drug use and suicide. I hope sooner than later we all really start to reconsider the mainstream idea of education.
@motherofthreeb63372 жыл бұрын
@@faviolahudson4234 I used Abeka and some BJU curriculum; and got most of the books used. Organization is extremely important as well structure and consistency. KEEP a consistent schedule and meticulous attendance records! Very important for you and the child. Also, know that it doesn't have to be all book learning; use your surroundings to teach. Example: we did a history unit on states and capitals. I hooked up with a local museum and went on a trip to Annapolis MD and visited their MD State House (House and Senate Chambers) and visited the Naval Academy. I tried to do a field trip for every history unit. Also, math can be taught by going to the grocery store, baking, etc. Take pictures!!! I gave my son a scrapbook of all his activities during high school as a graduation gift. We also did a high school "class trip" to the Matrix of Liberty. We joined a homeschool co-op and and agency that gave homeschooled parents legal representation if needed (can't really the name). If you're a homeowner, at least in PA where I live, you're entitled to extracurricular activities at your local school; my son participated in AFJROTC, indoor, outdoor and cross country. He went on every trip with AFJROTC all but one in four years and I chaperone all but that one. (We visited every Air & Space Museum, Joint Base McGuire, National Guard Training Center in Fort Indiana Gap, their National Cemetery, drill competition in the tri-state area, 911 Memorial in NY and Intrepid Air & Space Museum, Military Balls, and as part of AFJROTC, he led the Pledge of Allegiance at a local County Commissioner's Meeting. He also logged in over 350 hrs. of community service at the local VA). This is just a snipped of what we did. Oh, for arts, he took piano lessons for four hour and preformed in 8 recitals. Some local schools offer music instrument lessons. The other beauty of homeschooling is you can teach what you want within each subject; just make sure you know what your district requirements are and find a good evaluator. You will find you'll learn things along the way yourself that you didn't learn in school! I truly enjoyed it! 😉

One of my greatest regrets in my life is that I made poor decisions that made it impossible for me to stay home with my children. I had to go back to work after 12 weeks after each of their births. While I struggle and really can't donate, I'm! asking for your fundraiser to send help to the people of the burnt islands. I'm sending prayers out to them is all I can do for them, but my faith is strong❣️Thank you if you help them. They are after all our brothers and sisters💝🙏💝
