Paige does seem to be genuinely really happy to see Sheldon. He's the one person she knows who is almost as smart as she is - and - she likes beating him at things. One of Paige's problems - is that she really likes being smarter than every one else and - that may be one of the reasons she doesn't have any friends. The thing is - she wants to have friends and Sheldon doesn't care as much whether he does or not. .

Thought he was the smartest guy in every room and needed everyone to agree on that yet couldn't seem to grasp why he had few if any friends. He was actually about seven percent as smart as either Sheldon or Paige. I suspect he was also the second most successful partner in his marriage by all accounts.

She wants to challenge him so he does not turn into an arrogant snob bc he cant deal good with loosing .. hes Not used to not getting praised Paige had both - the books smarts + emotional intelligence whereas Sheldon clearly lacked in the last department.. he wasn’t emotional intelligent & couldn’t read peoples feelings or came up with following the intentions of their behavior.. he wouldn’t even notice people suffering around him if they didn’t specifically told them (is they said „I am fine“ he believed they are fine) Sheldon couldn’t deal with someone beating him in something.. being better at something, he simply could no bare that. She was smarter than him and that bugged him bc he was always praised to heavens & told how special he is and getting special treatment from his parent - he was clearly favored (especially by the mom) and got away with everything whereas Paige grew up more down to earth, didn’t have as big of an ego and wanted to be normal. Sheldon was a sheltered mommas boy who almost never got held accountable, couldn’t take a NO and was sometimes kinda arrogant 👌

Sheldon and his dad are very similar but in very different ways. for example Sheldon is an introvert who likes to be alone and read books, George, on the other hand is a mix of the introvert and an extrovert, he takes his alone time without his kids, or his wife very valuable. He can drink with his friends if he’s in the mood, but I have a feeling he’d rather drink alone and watch football most of the time.

Plus, she likes to play and have fun like a real kid. And she doesn't constantly ridicule Missy with her intelligence like Sheldon does. She is happy to have a friend while Sheldon - both old and young - show nothing but disdain for anyone who is a friend.
