Seriously, 9/10 times when they reply with "denied," it is on something critical to the outcome. After it all falls apart and you investigate what they did instead, they sailed off in their battleship after some DD that hasn't been spotted in over 5 minutes towards the farthest corner from anything relevent

@@TbullGaming You've seen some of the end screens I've sent you... The other night one guy in a Colorado (so not a new player) screwed our entire flank by running away to the corner of the map from a totally winnable engagement. He was the only survivor and ended a 15 minute match with 158 base XP. I messaged him and asked if he played the game using his face - because it sure as fuck wasn't his hands on the controller.

Generally if you have the option between a ship that's running and another one that isn't, changing targets to the one that isn't running is the better option.

Love when you preach playing the objectives, and playing them smartly. I lost a game recently because myself and another Destroyer were on the enemy’s base. We were about 20 seconds away from winning, and weren’t detected. He felt the need to fire at a full health battleship, give away his position and get sunk. I would have sunk him myself if I could of. Ironically, all I could think as he was sinking was”.. aaanndd, he gone!!”

Lightning and Z-23 are my absolute favorite destroyers in this game. My grind is currently by tier v. The "Geade" destroyer is the little Z-23 so i think. :-) And i have so much fun with this boat. My plan to skilled the Z-23 is exactly the same captain you use, with the same skill tree and Charles Madden as inspired captain for more faster gun reloaded and faster gun tower rotating speed. Finished is the perfect gun-boat destroyer! I can not wait, to see if it works. I would like to know: wath is the max torpedo range on Z-23, when you you have upgraded?

Madden is an interesting choice. Unfortunately for me he's one of the ones I still need. Pretty solid commander for different builds. 9.5 km I'd the range on the torps

I'd use will Sims for more health and Madden for better guns while using a brawler captain

@@avapuckett4007 Z-23 is the destroyer with the most HP. Captain Sims for that ship is exaggerated, but the torpedo damage i dont like. Than maybe is captian Raizo Tanaka better. I have Erich Bey skilled by a classic dd skill-tree with the skill "turn and sight". Together with Charles Madden we can have a guntower turning-speed of 14 sec. when max level or maybe higher. Unfortunately, the reload time of the 150 mm guns does not change effectively.

Hmm I know the disadvantages of the Kagero but how can you beat 5.3km detection range with a 10km torpedo range? With USN destroyers I can easily bait and ambush BB's at super close range. So I'm guessing the Z falls somewhere in the middle? Idk I guess I'll push that tree now that my IJN line is done.

Nice bingbong kills. I still think turret layout gives the edge to RN DD's in a gunfight but these Germans seem to have very good torps.

Tbull not really debatable. The German high end dds are USN type gunboats with better torps. Absolutely love them. The rn destroyers are chum in the water. As soon as I see an Icarus , acasta or jervis ill relentlessly pursue them while avoiding their panic torps and send them to their graves

Don't write off the RN DD's when it comes to contesting caps, 6 smokes, 3.2km ish sonar, really only the IJN DDs struggle in close quarters.

The UK dont have the firepower to outgun german or US DDs They also have fast acting smoke making them much better at a H/K hunter killer role

They also have like 3 minute sonar which is great for screening for teammates against torpedoes or face checking smoke

Yeah, the UK destoyers play better at a bit further range. Toe to toe with the US or German destroyers they should lose most engagements against equally skilled players
